Meinen Respekt hat er. Wie lange er das so noch machen kann bleibt die Frage und besonders ob er sich damit einen Gefallen tut. Ich habe viele gesehen die ihren Job aufgeben mussten weil sie sich in jungen Jahren ihre Gesundheit ruiniert haben auf diese Weise. its good money to work like this. no overheads, apart from tools - but once you own them they're yours forever. drive to clients and do the work, keep all the labour costs for yourself. when you take a car to a garage, the overheads are huge, they are vat registered so vat is 20% there's markup by the garage owner who makes a profit on the labour. But not every job goes this smoothly, work on a 18 year old car, and it's going to be a stringgle. I remember on my golf mechanics cam across stumbling blocks at every step. draveshaft stuck on the spindle, 10+ different things to undo/remove to get access to the gearbox, lots of seized bolts.

@@mrhaltstop2294 no, just a normal garage with mechanics as employees. If they charge you £200 labour to do a clutch job. How much of the £200 is going to go to the mechanic? Probably half that goes on wages, the rest is taken by the garage as profit and overhead expense.
