The WilliamsWarn Personal Brewery is the worlds first Personal Brewery. This video shows how it works. You can make cold, clear, perfectly carbonated, professional quality beer in 7 days, just like a modern brewery. Only two home brewers have ever beaten the big breweries in a professional beer competition and both did it using a their WilliamsWarn.

as an industrial designer this piece of equipment makes me giddy. As a homebrewer I'm floored by the idea of fermentation under pressure with temperature control in such a small footprint.

There's plenty of evidence of fermenting under a small amount of pressure can be beneficial to a beer.

The sediment collector is the part I liked the most. I think every home brewer should adopt that.

Jonathan Small many do, conical fermenters often have a similar option. Personally i just rack to secondary, but that's only because i can't afford a conical right now :)

As a 90's kid, this thing seems like the easy bake oven of brewing. "Here kids, just throw the pre-packaged ingredients into the machine... We included a few buttons so you can feel like you took part, but not to worry, the machine will make the beer perfect every time..." I'm sure there is a market for this, but I'm not a part of that market lol.

Hi WilliamsWarn. I see you're very active in comment section, I really like your replies. I agree with your point on extracts. I'm inspired by this video and I want to ask for an advice. If I'm going to brew an all-grain. Boil it for 10-20 min to release dimethyl sulfate. And then just steep the hops separably in the french press. I can maximize my yield from the same pot, can I? what do you think? I have to try this! Great product by the way! I can see how it can save a lot of time

You claim ultimate freshness but really how fresh can it be if your extract is hopped an boiled/evaporated at some brew house? How long does it sit there before getting in a home brewers hands? Also is the mash and hop schedule available for each kit? I know tastes, especially in the US, love their hop bomb IPAs can hops be added during this process? Same with maltier brews like stouts and porters? Can more malt be added?

Where is the hop boil schedule; ie; bittering, flavoring, aroma hopping? How can this think make good beer, if there is no hop schedule? And, I've never had good beer that was not made with mashing barley, and boiling hops.

If I wanted generic beer I wouldn't buy this I would buy it in the shop. What's the point of brewing your own if you can't make it your own and make any adjustments you want. That's the major downfall of this product its just a kit brew. That and it costs the same as a semi-commercial brewery
@PeterJKeogh
@PeterJKeogh 9 жыл бұрын
At this point im sure you realise im a lost cause but just FYI and my amusement lets scale up to a full 200L brewery thats €20k (see the link) thats a 10 fold increase in quantity and substantial increase in quality for a quadrupling in the price tag, i'll admit theres an economy of scale here so lets take that into account the 500L version is €37k so the economy factor is about 1.35 so if your system was a complete brewery it should cost about €1.5k. Of course im assuming linearity but you get the point we aren't doing this for profit we are doing this for fun and anything over say €3k is not fun and not a good investment even for a complete brewery let alone a fancy fermenter. And as a final note 304 stainless is 2.4€/kg so this fermenter your selling weighs over 180kg thats not exactly portable. speidels-braumeister.de/shop/en/200-500-Litre-Startersets

I've heard too many times the story about that WilliamsWarn home brewer who won a gold medal in a competition and that no other home brewer has ever managed to accomplish that. Yes it may be true however it doesn't take much digging around to find an explanation for that, I'll give you a hint, it's on the WilliamsWarn web site. "We knew this was the first time in brewing history that “homebrew” had ever been up against full-scale breweries. This is due to the fact that in a brewing competition for full-scale breweries, you are required to be a commercial brewery selling beer. WilliamsWarn does not fit into that category precisely, but people owning our breweries can sell their beers if they pay excise tax and we are a commercial brewing company, so the organisers agreed to let us enter." Enough of the PR bullshit please Ian. You explained it yourself. No other home brewers have been permitted to enter. If they were, do you honestly think that no home brewer would have been able to win a gold medal because they weren't using your system. Don't get me wrong, you've made a very impressive piece of equipment, I got a good look at one today at my local store, and if you were kind enough to donate one to me I'd definitely put it to good use, but I'm certain that it won't improve the quality of my beer with my setup.

Anger? I complemented your product at the end of that comment didn't I? I just called you out on a simple fact. You say no other home brewer has been able to win a gold medal at the Asian Beer Awards, a competition that isn't for home brewers... It's not exactly a fair playing field when you're guys only had the chance because they had been granted special entry. But it's not your job to be fair, it's your job to sell your product (which I'll state again, I would gladly use one myself if one was to show up on my door step) hence it's all a bunch of P.R bullshit.
