My mother favorite artist she passed april 2016. She was in Hospice first night the nurses couldnt get her comfortable after the nurse left my son pull out his phone playlist Willie Nelson songs Blue eyes crying started playing my mother had finely relax. dim light We sit listening to Willie Nelson songs the nurse walked in and ask what did we do we all said not a thing it was Willie Nelsons music...❤

That song is really special , my father used to listen it almost at midnight when he when back home from work, tired, I was a kid then. He passed away just 4 years ago and I couldn't be there to make him feel he was not alone. I will miss him forever.

In the 80s I came home to a message on my answering machine. It was this whole song. I’ll never know who left it there. So… I think of the men I dated during that time and know that I meant something to one of them. That feels very good.

Best song ever sung and written. Period!! Love you my life long friend!!! My mom and I have always loved you!!! My mom had all of your albums, she played the records on the hifi! When she played these records we'd stop being bad kids!!! Our dad was gone, he was on a aircraft carrier. I remember my mom being so sad, because she was alone, and us 6 kids were too much for her!!! I get it now, but when your young and dumb you don't have a clue what your lonely mom is going through. We'd all give her a break when she'd play your records on the hifi! I always heard about this legend called "Willie Nelson", and I barely stopped to listen to him. In this interpretation he appears a little confused at the beginning, implying that he has always done this and that it will be just another song, but as it progresses, I saw so much emotion in his eyes... from then on I couldn't look at him anymore, I was crying

One of my favorite versions. Love his phrasing and how he dances around the melody with his words. As he gets older, his delivery of the words becomes more fragile. It makes the song more wistful.

Ich habe ihn damals zu tiefsten DDR Zeiten das erste mal gehört, durch Zufall!!! Da war ich ca 11 Jahre jung 😮. Aber ich habe nachgefragt. Sollte über die Musik nicht sagen wo ich sie hörte!!!! Ich habe dann zu meinem Geburtstag eine Kassette von der Musik bekommen. Und bis heute liebe ich seine Musik!!!! Jeden seiner Auftritte habe ich irgendwie verfolgt 😅😊😊. Aber leider hatte ich nie genug Geld dafür, auf seine Konzerte hinzu fahren 😢. Aber das ist ja nicht so schlimm, denn ich kann es ja hier nachhören 😊. Es ist zwar nicht live aber besser als alles zu verpassen 😅!!!!! Wünsche Ihm alles gute und viel Gesundheit in seinem Leben 😅😅!!! Werde deine Live Musik vermissen 😢!!! Me lembro dessa canção na versão do Zezé e Luciano com a participação dele. Com todo respeito, mas ficou um abismo entre os dois lados rsrs. Sem contar que essa canção exigem um nível alto necessário para interpreta-la.
