I don't know if Toby would really give a damn, but I often wonder if he has any idea of how many people this song has inspired, and with how many different ways. I had a stroke, four years ago this coming January. I live alone. I was mad, angry, frustrated. I had improved to the point that I was up doing for myself, but content to just set and be upset. I heard this song for the first time right here on KZfaq. As I listened, the tears poured. From my back door, to the corner of my barn, in 75 yards. I called my daughter, to tell her I was going to make that walk. I hung up before I heard her reply. So, I grabbed my cane, and set out. Round trip, nearly an hour. 75 yards. Stop and go, stop and go. Fell a couple times. The next day, I did it again, then the next day. The walks became further, and my gate steadier. I would go on to complete an 8 mile loop, a hike which I had set as a goal. As unrealistic as it seemed at the start. Today I went snow-shoeing. I still listen to that song, often. I am scared of letting the old man in. If you wondered, I recently turned 70. Be well everybody.

HI! I don't know my physcial limitations except I have an old back energy, arthritis in all of my joints, and water retention that has become increasingly worse. Frankly, I don't walk enough, but your message above has inspired me to begin walking and doing stretching exercises again. I am 72 years of age and don't want to be bed-ridden. I would just like to "pass" on.

It's a wonderful song, that's true. I wonder why Willie is looking younger than when he's touring; this is the best I've seen him looking in a long time.

Willie Nelson ~ I have actually been bummed for days! I pre ordered the CD through Amazon. Then they said it wound not come out till July 3rd! Still haven't got it! Not your fault! JUST VERY BUMMED!!! Peace, Love & Music!!!
