Thank you for your efforts to make this video. I am very lucky to witness the huge warehouses now lying empty, completely filled with tea chests, cashew bags and other merchandise. There were so many Shed clerks, tally clerks and hundreds of laborers working daily. Also I could witness the railway station busy with passengers, trains coming and going. Old building s covered with green climbers were alive staying by Engine drivers, ticket examiners, etc while duty breaking. I am proud that I born in my beloved Willingdon Island, completed schooling in Sir Robert Bristol Govt. High school, stayed there for about 30 years and left Island after retirement of my father who was an Officer in Cochin Port Trust.

Nostalgic. Travelled many a times to and fro this station. Malabar Express starts/ terminates here. Island Express to Bangalore. Madras mail, Kerala express. Travelled by all these trains from here. Because this is a broad gauage section and Trivandrum Ernakulam was meter gauage. There was a Kannur Cochin passenger train. Leaves early morning from Kannur, reaches late evening at Cochin. Really nostalgia

In 1988 I used Horber Terminus to Trichy - Tea Garden Express. I used to take breakfast at Horber Terminus canteen. At that 4 to 5 trains were operated. Y just try Maruthi hotel at Island. I am residing at Madurai.

In 1982 they conducted train to cannore(now Kannur) I was there at Tevara junction (perumanoor) from 1981 to 1983 ..I used to come to cannanore by parasuram express starting from island .later it was stoped and parasuram express ran between trivandrum and Mangalore but instead Kannur ernakulam exicutive came in to operation but it was terminated in ernakulam South itself .thank u for showing the correct embarkation point in that rail way platform..it was terrific and sad but it renewed golden memories. Thank u thank u
