Signature Solar also has the 18K refurbished for $3699 - I would assume (but might be wrong) that somebody could click any of your links above so you still get the referral credit and then go over and order the 18K refurbished one instead. They say it's fully functional with a 2 year warranty so that's probably the route I'd go.

I know what a great unit. Of course they came out with an after I bought the 18KPV I've never hooked up. It's been sitting for 6 months. Very bad thing to do if for some reason it doesn't work properly. Might mess with my warranty if I needed it Hopefully that won't happen I better get started on it soon though. I'm pretty sure I could have got by with this unit instead of the 18KpV and saved a few bucks... But I have The good one at least 🎉

Probably one of your best videos. Informative and exciting! Gives me confidence in my 18kpv. Do you think you'll be able to do this kind of video on the NHX, New Growatt and maybe one of the SRNE 10kw inverters? I know that would be a lot on your plate. These are all getting a lot of interest on the forums. 10kw units at good prices. One reviewer doing simular tests on all of them would be amazing. Thanks Will😁

I have an 18k running my whole home with a 200a service. Rarely ever touch the service anymore. 2 batteries and 12kw of solar on it currently. adding another array soon. Putting me to around 16kw of solar. Hardest part was getting gov permission and permits to pull my meter for the work. The actual install is dead simple.

@WillProwse I've had my 18 KPV for almost 6 months now, and I've never hooked it up. I hope and pray that I can get started on it sometime soon. I have a little compound that I've been using one LV 6548 sun gold model for about a year now or more and I haven't really needed the 18 KPv that's why I haven't hooked it up I guess that plus laziness.. I hope ing to be able to wire it properly. I'm still not totally understanding all the wiring so well. Thanks for the videos. I'll definitely be going over them again when I finally get that thing going. I'm going to have six server rack batteries. I'm wondering if I'm going to need to have battery communication. When I start working on it, I'll ask a couple of questions on one of the videos and maybe one of the group to answer them or yourself if you end up seeing it by chance. Welp, thanks for listening😊😊

absolutely love all the videos! but…. 🤣 no mention of price. i’d also like to know about decibels. opening it up, i know gets monotonous but is still fun- maybe that will come later. on a separate matter, i think a big perk for paralleling 6ks is the redundancy. if you’re really off grid, as in, remote, then it’s nice to know you have 1 or 2 more if one should fail.

This seems almost perfect for an RV, I wonder if you fed it a 30A RV source that was split to feed both L1 and L2 and limited it to 15A on the AC input if it could deal with them being matching waveforms? If so this would be a big step up from the Victon x2 because the Victon is only 3kva and 24V on the battery side.

I bought an 18kPV when they first came out (trade in... before the 6000XP's were available) & will need another inverter to go with it when I finish my house (23kW of panels) . Looks like I should have waited & gotten two 12kPV's? Price of being an early adopter I guess. 😉 Since you really can't mix & match their tech (inverters or batteries), I think another 18kPV is still going to have to be the plan even though I will never be on-grid & never net-metering. etc. My nature is to overbuild everything...the 18kPV accomplishes this, just at a steeper price. That said, as noted many times before, I really think SS/EG4 should make the 18kPV's, the 6000XP's & now the 12kPV's all play nicely together in the same sandbox. Thereby allowing mixing & matching as well as & ESPECIALLY forward & backwards compatibility. It gets awfully expensive trying to start over each time... unless you are you Will. 😂
