I'm so glad I watched this video - I am just starting off on my van journey and I was stressing about moisture. Neil's comments made sense and put me at ease. Plus he is from Merseyside like me so he knows all about dampness LOL! Glad I found this series.

Little tip for removing permanent marker, or sharpie ink. These pens usually use isopropyl alcohol as a solvent, so a dab of hand sanitiser will remove it. Failing that, go over it with the same pen, scribble all over it and wipe it off immediately with a cloth or your finger.

Mate, i bought my truck in jan , got half way through the build a couple of times an realised id got things wrong, lost faith in the build a few times , umd an ard about selling up BUt im keeping the long game picture in sight . We arnt professional’s but we will get there an hopefully ile look back an laugh . We all have to learn somewhere .

I think we all need a Nick and Emma in our lives. I think it's a case of if the materials are available then Nick can fix it. I bet it eased your mind when one of the first things he did was to put the external electrics in the right place. They look busy people. Charlie and Lauren next on the list to have their diesel heater fitted. Are you going to get Nick & Emma to help you with the kitchen build in your camper. All the best mate. Can i suggest you something ? I noticed that in your videos, when you turn on the stove, it takes a long time to warm up a part of the car, so I thought I'd tell you what saved my life many times ... First you always have to have one small container in which you will pour water but not overflowing because you have to leave room for the water to boil, when it starts to evaporate then you feel that part is heating up. Sorry if there are grammatical errors but my english is very bad so this is due to google translate.😁 Greetings from Serbia ! 👋😀

Alcohol or acetone for cleaning marker. Or use the same marker with a rag, scribble over your error and wipe off quick. I just upgraded my LED lighting to RGBWW from RGB, Nobody told me that RGBWW uses 5 wires where as RGB uses 4 wire and a different controller. Of course I installed the lights before finding this out and now all my wiring is wrong. Hope that makes you feel just a little bit better.... (c:

This is going to sound strange but to get rid of permanent marker on the majority of hard surfaces squirt WD40 & Air Freshoner on the area at the same time. This is tried and tested. Have a dry cloth ready

Try it on any flat surface but not untreated wood as it's porous and the ink from the marker will sink in. I'm confident but I'll say good luck anyway.

If you want to put a circle or square hole then use masking tape where you want it and then when you have cut the hole you just pull it off. As for getting stressed not worth it will only spoil the process 🙃

It’s really easy to pick up the wrong fuel hose when you’re rushing around. It really is starting to come together, the back doors look great. Not sure who Daz is but it was revealing your thoughts about them. Take care Gill

WIll! Just slow down check things 50 times and stand back and look. Don't just set your mind on a place to drill and not double check the otherside isnt hiding behind a wheelarch or something. You have made many daft mistakes some ofc will happen but it seems your setting yourself up for failure each time now because your expecting it to fail.

With all the love and respect in the world.....my friend...everything you're doing is relatively easy. You're intelligent and quite capable. The issues are....you're rushing through this, not researching and following instructions and most of all you...like most of us are impatient. This van CAN AND WILL BE awesome if you'd work on it with a better mindset. Dude...."Measure twice and cut once" and "There's never enough time to do it right the first time but plenty of time to do it twice". You're wasting time...and money and destroying this van.

unlead in diesel isn´t a problem. diesel burns everything ;-) otherway round would defenetly be a probloem!! I did the same with my brothers...turned out alright!

That's great they have a mobile unit to remove the wrong fuel. I believe they've now invented a fuel door switch that audibly tells you to put in the right fuel when you open the little door.

In Australia you can’t put a diesel nozzle in an unleaded tank, they’re different shapes … BUT you can the other way round.

First I'm surprised that there's a business that makes a living waiting for people to put the wrong fuel in their vehicle, I'm amazed you found such a service! BUT the icing on the cake is they arrive with a van that lets everyone know what you've done! "Wrong Fuel Doctor" Great service if you need it but having them turn up next to your car must be like walking through a door at the hospital that has a neon light saying "STD ENTRANCE". Wurth Brake cleaner gets permanent marker pen off paintwork just apply it to cloth hold it on for a short while then it comes straight off no problem 👍

Dude me and my family can feel your pain stuff like that seems to happen to us all the time me personally I always say if I don’t have bad luck I wouldn’t have any luck at all moving all the way from the state of Maryland to Oregon my dad’s been driving a diesel truck for 20 some odd years but he was so stressed out that he accidentally put gasoline in his diesel Dodge truck it really sucks
