The guys were way more sympathetic to Will’s natural reactions than I thought. I would think being used to training people who are already somewhat badass would skew your view of normal stress reactions, but it seems they remained in touch with that.

Being former military, while I was not completely exposed to the extent of these CT interrogation specialists as that is more tailored to special forces, I was put through scenarios where they simulated us being captured and held as a prisoner by "enemy forces". The fact that Will made it through those liveleaked style execution videos and still held his ability to show humour and maintain alertness is testament that you do not need to be a soldier or a spec ops operator in order to show strength in the face of adverse conditions. Of course this is a nuanced take on the situation as they covered reversal techniques and this was toned down for the sake of youtube but the key takeaway is to remain mentally strong with whatever struggle you are facing. Great display and informative video Will! Love your content as always. Also big shout out to the editor again for creating such a polished video, I'm still quite an infant in my editing journey but this just gives me more fuel and inspiration to continue my path! Reminds me of my emergency medicine courses, of course to a much lesser degree. Instructor would regularly show some of the most gruesome scenes from vehicle accidents, to burns, etc. Just to show that while its not all blood and gore, you do have to have a strong mind (and stomach) for what you might encounter at any given scene.

This training felt weird to me. It started with raw footage of some of the most gruesome things you can see, went into a faux kidnapping scenario that seemed pretty legit, but then all the weapon disarming techniques afterwards felt borderline comedic. If you talk to anyone in LE or in the military/SF, they all say that disarming a captor is very often unwise. The idea that kata (I do this to you, you react this way which means I now do this, etc.) doesn't work and will likely get you killed. I suppose the benefit of the latter portion of training is to demonstrate that remaining vigilant and always looking for a mistake/being situationally aware is important? Either way, shout out to Will for going through it.

seeing you watch those real execution videos gave me a bit of nostalgia is a sick sense. The goosebumps on your arms, and sick feeling in your stomach. Its something that will stick with you for the rest of your life. I feel its necessary to watch videos like that to understand how dark people can be. It pulls you out of the fairy tail of our comfortable lifes in a developed country. Props to you for sticking through it

I remember when I was a teen and decided to work in counter terrorism after graduating. I went on my internship and really saw what it was like. It's horrible and that's putting it nicely. Thank you for showing people what it's like. Your honesty is really appreciated!

They definitely went into the back to have a talk about how they should probably use some humour in the next part of training after they realised how much they traumatized will with the execution videos.

I respect Will more than ever for doing this but he is not immune from being exposed to real evil. He may need to see a professional to deal with his now unexpected PTSD from viewing real executions. Evil exists and we need people to counter act that evil and put an end to it but as a civilian who wants to live a happy life you must stand guard at the door of your mind at all times and not let evil in. Don’t think for a second that you can just be exposed to anything and not suffer long term consequences for it.

This was a great video bringing awareness to what it's like to be in a hostage/combat situation...But it's a really sad commentary on 🇺🇸 society that these folks honestly feel the need to actually sell this as a course to the general public because there's so many school shootings & whatnot happening in recent years😞.It's great that this is available but the reason behind it is quite tragic.
