I have been doing countertops for 38 years. WILSONART is the best laminate you can get. I do bevel & crescent edges all the time. When the tops are finished, the edges & top should look like one piece, no white lines & no sharp edges.Their are a lots of fabricators that don't do a good job fabricating the edges. You should see the work of these companies before you hire them. Just Counters in Manchester, NH is my shop.

One of the problems I have run into , is the edges are not perfectly straight. A little wavy, which makes it hard to keep them perfectly inline with the top laminate

I have had the Wilsonart HD Countertop for 10 years and have not had any scratches. I am putting in a kitchen island and they discontinued the pattern I have, and I had a problem when I left the sink on, and it flooded over the counter edge causing it to bloat. Which is on me, and not Wilsonart. I am not familiar with how these new edges they have. My MIL Has had her countertops longer than I have and has the beveled edge on a kitchen island that looks great. She didn't get the HD Laminate on her island and it has faded and scratched. She has the HD Laminate for her regular countertops, and they are great. I have been researching Quartz and Granite, and I do not see the advantages since they also can stain, and I don't need to put hot pans on my countertops.

It says "be sure to leave a 1/8" inside radius corner" when flush trimming the laminate but the Crescent Edge will not fit into a radius corner. So how do you do inside corners?

@@gundercol No I haven't also I have not had to do a inside corner with this edging. If I had to I would keep the 1/8" radius on the top laminate and round over the trim with a 1/8" radius bit then work out from the inside corner. Good luck.

@@TerryPullen Thanks for replying! Is there a reason why you don’t use a knife to cut a sharp corner on the laminate and just fit the edging up to that (resulting in a three-way seam intersection). I would have thought leaving the 1/8th radius would leave a black point at the top of the corners?

The glue that hold the laminate is not effective . Wilson art is not the best stuff I’ve ever used . Duropal worktop are better and cheaper 👍

From my experience Wilsonart products are less than good. They scratch way to easy even with their so called AEON protection, but even worse, they do not use color matched sub-straight. So when you file the edges (with laminate file) it can leave white lines between the trim and counter. Furthermore they do not make any color matched paint to fix this. The only option around this is to have sharp edges which can easily give paper like cuts.

+Russell Fritz Wilsonart promised me they would change the counters which they never did. So several thousand dollars of kitchen upgrades, and the main counters are the part that look crappy. Personally I would not use them if I were you.

10p6 are you talking about the old method ? Not folding or using new style edging ? I am about to use these products so I am interested in what methods you used .

Wilson sells cheap stuff, I've had nothing but complaints from some of my clients that I've done jobs on in their kitchens about Wilson. You get what you pay for.
