The dichotomy is this book could only be written by insiders, but their partisan bias is a detriment. It is hard to have confidence in the material when the political viewpoints become contrary to empirical truth. I was one of the "Basket of Deplorables" and I have to say that it was a BIG mistake on Hillary's part. That phrase was worn as a badge of honor by Trump supporters nationwide and it still may be to this day. Hillary didn't capitalize on the voting public's appetite for a change candidate, no matter how 'mean' Trump was perceived to be. She could have made herself up as a change candidate if she wanted to but didn't.

I think the writers came off as objective regardless of how they felt about the candidates( at least on this forum). It really makes me relieved that I never was a politician. I only WOKE during this Presidential election. There seemed to be more at stake to me than previous ones. Part of me wishes I was politically ignorant again, but I guess that’s not happening.

Her time was 2008 and unfortunatley she ran into to a political superstar: Barack Obama. Trump did run a confused and chaotic campaign but I attended rallies that were held by both candidates and frankly there was no comparison. HC had dull, lifeless rallies that people couldn't wait to leave and Trump held rallies like they were rock concerts. HC had the bad luck to run into Obama and then Trump otherwise she would be President.

That Superdelegates answer was so weak, as well as disingenuous. What it ignores is that normal delegates are beholden to the will of the voters in the primaries. Superdelegates are not. The public perception, and a justified one, is that Superdelegates are a path for the party to strongarm a predetermined candidate onto the ballot. Often, the Superdelegates announce their intention ahead of those primaries, which adds a chilling effect to (for example) Super Tuesday voters who favor another candidate, even after that candidate wins in early primaries.
