I've never watched a near 2 hour KZfaq video before in my life but I was captivated from start to finish. It's hard to convey the value of this content for players. Many pay to hear chess analysis at this level while it's happening in the moment. As much as memorizing lines can help players improve - knowing the thought process behind making moves, in my opinion, is far more valuale. Excellent content and kudos for a great channel.

I find this series incredibly useful to my game because I hear Levy talk through multiple options for each move and weigh the advantages and disadvantages, which informs my decisions.

I know this comment is a year old but also know that type of pain can linger awhile. It's cool you can use this to get your mind off of things. It's a good way. @@naczelnypsycholog6296 Not at all. If a chess teacher tells you that they know the response to every single possible line, run away. Admitting that they do not know but showing how to play the position in a solid manner is much more realistic. We are not computers. We will never know the response to every single line in the first 10 moves of every opening.

@@sagarsharma877 agree, but that is from perspective of someone who already has some chess experience under his belt, and I'm guessing GMs know very well most of the theoretical lines in each openings, anyways his courses are rather targeting to the elo 1500 and below newbies, so those players rather still have and idealistic imagination about chess as usually the beginner mind strive for total perfection, that's why I think is bad

That's exactly where I am! I mostly play the boys and can do puzzles for a couple hours. But real people online? Eeeek! But I'm getting better with Levy's reasoning and voice in my head. It was a great step for me. I lost more than I expected, but I learned a lot about chess and my own psychology when under attack. I love chess, it's actually helping me understand my anger. Thanks for sharing your comment!

@Tyler I don't know about that. I started watching when he was doing the first of this series and I can now follow along as he has progressed the series. I think he has escalated the complexity of this series nicely. Though he may need to continue adding in basic level content to help some of the audience along since guess the elo is random on the complexity of the game.

surprisingly, one of the best things you can do for a creator is buy KZfaq Premium. It disables ads for you and it gives a much larger amount of money to the creator.

Love seeing you being challenged (and even losing) once in a while, I think such games can be even more instructive than those where you just steamroll some poor guy. Also love that you don't try to win from opening prep, that also makes the games far more interesting. Would love to see way more of this type of content!

Levi, been watching your vids for a few months. Truly a master class-finally going to take the dive into some courses. I’m thinking E4 first. Been a 1600-1800s range rapid player for a LONG time and just more ‘addicted’ to the instant gratification than putting in the work. Changing my mindset, elevating my game. Thank you for what you do.

Was really into chess when I was younger & stopped - it’s now been some 20+ years & have started to gain a lot of interest & start playing again. Also, i appreciate the content & never comment.
