Winchester 101 Grand European 12 Gauge Shotgun

Today we have the very beautiful Winchester 101 Grand European 12 gauge shotgun.
This Winchester shotgun was the highest grade that you could buy at the time.
Winchester made these shotguns between 1981 and 1987.
This particular Winchester 101 Grand European is a Game gun. They also made them in Trap and Skeet.
Engraved with 'Grand European' on both the side of the barrels, on the top rib, and underneath the action.
On the side of this Winchester 101 is full coverage scroll. This is absolutely stunning work.

I missed a Winchester presentation grade 15 years ago..never saw another since....went for coffee to ponder how I could afford it..sold when I went back to buy lol

Rab Ross they did 101 sorters but not in grand European grade. I bought one new in 1981 it cost me £525 had 28" barrels and weighed 8lb 6ozs. I still have a supergrade lightweight winchoke that I have had for years.

interesting video you've posted. I have a 30" Trap gun that has been cut down to a sporter. I believe it is a model 501 and has inertia triggers unlike the 101 which has mechanical triggers. It has identical engraving and checkering to the gun in your video but has a pistol grip rather than the POW grip. These were the catalogue model numbers. Welcome back Tim and Paul. I’m in agreement regarding the engraving and I thought that straight away on seeing it. Could the big panel be rolled then picked out and bordered by the engraver?

So how much are these guns worth ,I have a grand European skeet in good condition with the original butt pad on and original case for it , any information would be appreciated

I just picked up a Grand European. It is a 30 inch barrel, however the barrels are ported. I have seen a Grand European with ported barrels. Was that done at the factory or was the porting done later by a blacksmith somewhere. Sn: K46****G . I feel very fortunate to have found it.
