The heatshield cover and bayonet lug, is added for fraud the last owner, this gun's was sell for trenchgun, but this is a riot gun, and riot gun dont have any heatshield. So you know why i remove the fake part. 😉👍

You can tell by the lack of a slong swivel in the stock and no U.S. flaming bomb stamp. Also, you got lucky since the barrel was filled or milled out for the heat shelid to be installed. I personally restored and converted a old winchester 1897 to a trench since the barrel was cut down for the original length already. I recommend doing a couple of slow rust operations to get a stronger finish.

Spiegazioni come questa ti conviene metterle come hardsub al video o nella sua descrizione (anche se lì è già più difficile che tutti leggano), così ti eviti una montagna di domande tutte uguali a cui rispondere.

Don't put high-brass slugs in that shotgun anymore. Or high-brass buckshot either. That gun was designed and built during a time when the chamber pressure produced by ammunition was MUCH lower. Modern ammunition produces chamber pressures TOO HIGH for this old shotgun. Birdshot and low-brass buckshot should be alright, but high-brass slugs risk blowing that gun to smithereens.

Honestly, a Police shotgun from the days of Al Capone and Machine Gun Kelly is cool enough in itself. Its wild this thing was considered a war crime over in Europe but back in America it was being outmatched by the mafia and their Tommy Guns.

I have to admit, I'm shocked... I didn't think you would get this back to shooting condition. I like that you didn't try to get a shinny finish back on this and kept it in it's aged condition. It's a lovely historic gun and you did an excellent job of reviving it. Well done! 👍

Not bad accuracy for a worn out barrel full of rust pits and a old gun -but then again its a smooth bore 100 years old design shotgun. . . so accuracy wasn't great even when it was brand new compared to today's standards but for what it was it was fine.
