Good God almighty I needed to hear this. I have got to get her book.

“It has to be in you to see it in me” that statement proves itself true more and more everyday. When you have an open heart and speak to others who don’t … they kinda raise an eyebrow or secretly hold resentment that you have enough love for others to love yourself. I could go on about that because there are only a few people who kind of understand me you know as much as they can. I’m writing this as I’m still watching the end of this… this is the first video I’ve ever seen of her … she might be my new idiol. Her idols are my idols too. I love MLK so much. I’m not African American but his sermons still are relevant to trials I’ve faced and still do in my life. The first time I ever saw MLKs last speech on KZfaq I first got goosebumps all over and then I just let out months and months of holding back tears and burying my extremely heavy grief. He made me feel strong because I was in an extremely abusive relationship with a narcissist and then had a child with him and I love her so much and he scares me and he’s fake and he’s good at tricking people and good with his words and I’m not and he conditioned me to believe that I was powerless and that I couldn’t get him out of our lives and I was constantly fearful and constantly untrusting of EVERYONE and felt so cursed… but he was a black man at that time and he was FEARLESS because he had so much FAITH and EMPATHY and he knew exactly what he was capable of doing and he did it. His faith and his open heart made him such a powerful visionary. He wasnt scared of sadistic whites back then … they were all clearly mentally/emotionally challenged . He wasn’t scared of water hoses or even getting shot because halfway through his speech he basically said he knew it was coming … because he said “ I don’t know what will happen now ; we have some difficult days ahead but it doesn’t really matter to me now because I’ve been to the mountaintop , I don’t mind. Like everyone I would like to live a long life but longevity has its place. I’m not concerned about that now I just want to do gods will” I memorized the whole speech because it was one of the only things I could hear that helped me see a way out of the darkness. But ya. I’m getting that book she wrote. I bet it’s a reeeeally really really good must read.
