I mean I smash men in my stand-up and wrestling, but I need to learn more JJ, but, from the video I did notice whoever was choking him, must of toned the move down a bit!!,, cause Mr Wong probably asked him too.. I only point out what I see, hence my name, Truth-finder

Do you ever fight for real, or you just act smart about all this hypothetical/fantasy scenario that will never actually happen to anybody? The truth is all this blackbelt can put you to sleep in a streetfight. Ofc master wong is a better fighter than an average joe, but under any regulated competitive fight i doubt it.. in the streets basically just attack the nuts, eyeball, throat and run whenever u can.. thats all about it!! Nothing more u need to teach..

This is why MMA fighter should never think they invincible or act cocky when it comes to street fight
@masterwong101
@masterwong101 Жыл бұрын
Ah, the classic mistake of thinking you're invincible just because you're a successful MMA fighter. 🤦‍♂️ Let me tell you something, folks: street fights are a whole different ball game. You might be the best in the octagon, but out on the streets, anything goes. You never know who you're up against, what weapons they might have, or who they might have with them. Acting cocky and overconfident can get you into some serious trouble. That's why it's important to always stay humble, train hard, and never underestimate your opponent. And don't forget, living clean and avoiding trouble is always the best option. So, to all my followers out there, remember: Train hard. Live clean. Don't let anyone bully you. And always stay humble. If you combine the grabbing of the testicles with a hard knife hand strike to create pain in the movement it is even more effective because they will loosen their headlock more quickly from flinching with pain. There are other defences against the rear choke like stomping on their foot, grabbing their arm and using your body weight and gravity to bring them down backwards, most people instinctively will throw their arms back to stop a backwards fall to the ground.

I saw it in a BJJ video [how to escape rear neck choke]: but I don't know if it works, as no-one to try it out with. But what you do is keeping gravity low, you turn your head leverage into him (from same side as his arm); then can do what you like - eg. tripping him over, etc.

Doing the rear choke standing you would kick away the legs and drag the opponent backwards. It wouldn't be so easy to strike the groin once the legs have been kicked away. That's how the police subdue someone with the sleeper choke. The groin shot is only there when the person doing the choke stands near so you can feel where they are IMO

@Life, Garden & Hapkido the bicep is hard to reach and if you are spun unto your face it really is over. Best move I have used is to grab the foot with one hand while the hooks have just been put in and dig your elbow into the shin bone while torking the foot to put pressure on the ankle. It's not the ankle why they let go, it's the bone on bone grind that's not nice. I've had someone let go before I pressed hard on the shin bone as they knew what was coming lol

If a pro chock you, you are pretty much f*cked anyway. You don't see many escape from RNC in UFC for a reason. But how many pros are also the street thugs?
@RoomAtTheTopStudio
@RoomAtTheTopStudio 5 жыл бұрын
@@GuitarsRockForever Maybe I am old but unless the choke is sunk in properly I have seen many pro fighters get out of rear naked choke situations in the UFC and PRIDE over the years. Many get out of it in BJJ competitions never mind UFC where sweat makes holds harder to hold on to as the skin is slippery. If a choke is sunk in you have seconds to make your move to escape and if it doesn't work you either tap or go to sleep but those who spar regular and are used to being choked can escape that position with a variety of methods. I just stated the one that was most effective for me when I used to train and spar.
@GuitarsRockForever
@GuitarsRockForever 5 жыл бұрын
@@RoomAtTheTopStudio We are talking about the same thing here. The common attack from "certain" mma fighters fan base, or self claimed "mma fighters" to master Wong, is "your chock is crap", "it's not correct", "it's not tight", etc. By that definition, no one can escape RNC because they are talking about proper secured choke. My point was, if the chock was properly secured, it doesn't matter where the other hand is (it happens in UFC all the time, the other hands can be anywhere), there is no way to escape. But before the chock was firmly secured, you can do something to get out. Those "mma fighters" only sees RNC as something black and white (you either magically apply it and secure the chock immediately if you are mma/bjj fighter, or you will NEVER ever secure it if you are not a mma/bjj fighter). To them, there is never in between, like what happens in reality.

@@connorgeslak8032 San Antonio here too I took a WIng Chun class for about week but didn't like the no sparring approach. They did say you can do sparring but only when you get several years under your belt. How are you suppose to test your fighting skills if it's always performed under no stress or people pretending to attack you. None of these BJJ guys are trying to actually choke him so I doubt the technique would work.

Daniel Michael I took up Krav Maga and seem to be enjoying it. You get to practice a lot and in about two months I can test for lvl 2. That’s where the head gear and shin guards come into real sparring.

This "black belt" can't even do a RNC properly. Ur other hand isn't supposed to be on top of the head, it's supposed to push the head to the choking arm. Putting it on top of the head doesn't restrict ur blood flow cause there's space. Look at actual RNC and u will know what I'm talking about

The problem of the knife has be covered in videos by other people as well. Knife beats choke every time. If you choke someone who has a knife, you'll either have to release them or get stabbed to death. Sometimes both, since they might get a couple of stabs in before you're even able to release them.

This Wing Chun master would be unconscious in seconds if he fought any of these guys. I studied martial arts since I was 7 and I’m 48 now. Once I began BJJ training nothing else mattered, because the rest is useless against it in a common street fight.
@mmurmurjohnson2368
@mmurmurjohnson2368 3 жыл бұрын
The big advantage BJJ has over other styles is the ability to consistently pressure test it at 100% in training. But having said that, when other systems train realistically at 97 - 98% the effectivity goes way up. Soft styles like tai chi are sort of an exception in that they are highly effective if you possess a high fight IQ, but difficult to apply if you possess a low one and or don't pressure test, you're penalized way more in Kung fu than say in a style like Thai boxing if you don't pressure test.

Just did my 7th hour in BJJ. Saw a young Blackbelt from another school about 30 years old go up against the 62 year old BJJ Professor at my gym. Those guys were moving crazy fast even when not giving it 100%. I refuse to believe Master Wong would stand a chance against any black belt.
