As promised I was experimenting a bit more with the "wing pour tool" and see if it works each time or what parameters need to be taken into consideration. This video contains 4 pouring attemps and their results showing you what to do and what to avoid. Have fun creating!!

Like the idea of 3 cups in one. But how you put those 3 cups together is a puzzle to me. I love the last one you made. They really look like angel wings! Thank you 😊

pretty easy...glue, hot glue or powerstrips work fine. It onle needs to hold through the first pour and after that the dried acrylic paint will keep everything in place forever :)

I was panicking hoping you left the wings as is . I hope you keep one of each then if you HAVE TO ADD to a canvas make another and know when to stop because the ones i saw are FAB. Ha! So is your accent and that little laugh that you do.. cracks me up. ALSO, thanks for working as you talk. I just wrote a LONG comment regarding that very issue....i have sat for many minutes MANY times just waiting for the artist stirring paint , hunting for a lost video item and the talking and talking about whatever with NO painting plan. You are fast and have a good idea and as you put it ....your brain wired around. Things 😻

I like to have my videos crisper and edited to the essential stuff than letting it run 30 minutes for just what it is. I still feel I sometimes talk way too much but there is the mute function and the videos are still shorter 😅😅 glad you like the wings. I did a couple of them but there are some other cool results in my „awesome results“ playlist :))

Indeed!! You know how long realism takes and tricky it is to get the exact look that you want to achieve and how nerve wrecking it can become...same issues with the pouring but it is soooo much more relaxing and instantly rewarding (if successful).....so it is a real relieve after a long painting day :)

I couldn't figure out which one of these wing pours I liked best. The blue negative space pour had a different feel to it but I was attracted more to the 3rd pour. All I can say is WOW. You are truly an awesome artist and I know you’ll be showing your works somewhere one day. I’m stunned at the finished ones you showed us. They were all incredibly beautiful. This was the thing that causes the angel Wing effect. I did make a 5-cup version of the tool and I must say - this is my most most loved result ever. You are so impressive! Your realistic portraits are amazing! Your pours are always interesting & I admire that you never give up. Those wing pours are so difficult. I have tried three. The first came out best but did not look like a wing, the second was worse & the third looked like a dirty pour. I need to try this on a long canvas. Well I think one of the cool things in pouring is that we can never know the outcome. When I work in realism there always is a guidline to follow to hopefully have the end result as desired...in the pouring...even if all characters are set and measured and pre-set..the end result can still be totally totally different. To both ends of the spectrum :D

You are so right I started my art at 9 years old with oil paintings I did portraits for many years and then I moved to still life I moved on to tattooing and retired it that 5 years ago sold my shop and I had been drifting now and then how is your oil changing or work hour but it took a lot out of me tattooing but when I found dirty pour I was hooked;)

Catherine Segeren I like to switch between all the mediums but as my heart really hangs on realism and portraits this has a large area in my heart :) it requires a mit more „artistic skills“ when you call it like that than the pouring requires but the pouring in return is much more relaxing for the brain than realism is :)

Loving your work and recently subscribed. I'm trying to construct a wing pour cup, however, I'm having trouble finding a container for the outter cup, any suggestions what/ where I can find similar container?

well I most of times use yoghurt cups...these come in so many different sizes that I always found something. and it they are too tall----cut them down to the size u need them to be :)

I don't know for sure...well there is actually pouring medium which is readily mixed but when it comes to already mixed paint...never seen that so far...
