I really like what you said about how they felt about their roles. So many examples of that in the Bible! ❤

Oh. My. Goodness. I gotta tell you guys, my now 13 y.o. daughter and 11 y.o. son read these books before me and kept telling me they were good. The term "good" doesn't even apply here... AMAZING is more like it! I read all 4 books fairly quickly and I must say that reading them is the way to truly digest them. Especially the first book, with all the footers of extra (and mostly useless but fun) they can kinda slow down the adventure. Andrew Peterson's readings of the book are very good bit getting to let your brain take its time with listening is amazing. The adventure definitely picks up in the 2nd book and I think the 3rd book is my favorite. Both book 3 and 4 left me in tears at times. If you like this seriese, read The Green Ember Book seriese by S. D. Smith. Like Narnia but it's rabbits with swords. Can't emphasize the power of a good book that can transport you to another world with truth, realities, and my kids and I can enjoy them together!

I found the 1st book at Hobby Lobby today and spent time Googling it to make sure it was a safe book to read. I’m making sure to protect my eye/ear gates. Thanks for your review! It’s helpful. I’ve been looking for something fictional. I have bibles, John Ramirez, and some other great non-fiction, but this series looks like a wonderful change.

I tried to read the first book on kindle and didn’t enjoy it so I feel like if I get the physical copies I’ll have a more immersive experience! Great review!
