"Who cares?" So many people who finally feel seen and represented. For you as a cis-man, I'm not sure you grasp the significance of representation in our society. A music contest where televoting is involved is NEVER just about the voice. It is about personality and likeability. So the fact that the time has arrived where a nonbinary person is that likeable to win such a huge contest is historical and means a great deal to many, many people in this world.

I could be wrong but the way I interpret the song is that Nemo finally feels free after discovering their non-binary identity. Lines such as "I broke the code" and "somewhere between the 0's and 1's, I found my kingdom come" referring to the binary number system as a sort of double entendre? They found themselves somewhere in between the 0's and 1's, broke the code, and are happier in this new place

Per me ha meritato di vincere: è forse la canzone più originale dell’Eurovision, eclettica ed imprevedibile per quanto riguarda la struttura musicale, con un testo non banale. Lui ha una vocalità particolare, un notevole range, una grande controllo della voce, molto agile e cristallina, stabile anche mentre corre e salta per il palco. Grande capacità di passare in modo convincente da uno stile all’altro, dall’opera al rap. Mi è piaciuta anche la scenografia scelta dalla Svizzera, essenziale e moderna. A me non interessa se sia binario o meno, mentre a te si, anche se dici il contrario. Con tutto il rispetto, ma non è la prima volta che ti sento esprimere opinioni negative o fare della facile ironia quando reagisci ad artisti che escono dai canoni tradizionali. Peccato, perché soprattutto in passato trovavo le tue reactions interessanti e divertenti.

An excellent song and performance. Kudos to the Swedes for this spectacle. This performance by this Swiss should enter the academies of visual arts, i.e. directing... Pure art. People don't know that this is a school example of good directing, and Serdjo Leone and Morikone were quoted visually and musically from half of the video in the final euphoria and crescendo ...The Good, the Bad and the Ugly and the ultimate armed confrontation in the film are associated in the performance....

Hey greetings from Germany. I liked the performance of Croatia, the rock band and think they were under the first places 😊 The song of Switzerland is very various, maybe this is why it wins. And I also want to remind that it shouldn‘t matter who the singer is because it‘s a song contest…not a performance contest. But sadly I think that focus is gone many years ago 😏

Im personally obsessed with their performance. The ability to make people uncomfortable just by existing really says a lot about our society. The "code" they figured out is the societal BS of gender norms. They broke from the stigma and they are happy in themselves. Couldnt name another song that vibes this hard with such a wide range of vocals.

I really think that the best act won. For Switzerland it is very hard to win because often regions like balkan or scandinavia give tio many points to other countries from the same region. Switzerland should have won 3 years ago with Gjons Tears. They had the best song then and again this year. If Nemo was from Sweden, Norway, Serbia or Croatia Nemo would have gotten a landslide win. Nemos singing and voice were the best, the peformance very good and very impressive to sing and balance at the same time. The song was the best and very unique. Nemo was the only act alone on the stage. Croatia was cachy and good. They were on of my favourites too. But nowhere near Nemos performance and especially singing abilities. France was also good. They had a strong singer but it again paled to Switzerland. I agree that there were years where the show or background won the competition. This year this is not true. The best song won. I'm not a huge fan of the gender debate myself. I think it often goes too far and takes up way too much space. But it is not fair to reduce Nemos performance to that.

Since it’s a television competition it’s not only about the song. It’s the entire composition. How you frame yourself and advertise yourself, how visually pleasing the performance is. This was not the original performance and in the original performance he also had stuff to visually affect the audience, like when he sang consistently on that weird balance thing. Think it also impressed the audience with his technical skill, versatility and consistency when still having to balance on something that is moving. The song itself if good, but the entire composition was created to show off his impressive technical skill. Might be wrong idk but this is my take.

Wdym "too political"? Eurovision has been political for over a decade now, from all parts of the countries that participated. Even back in the 60s and 70s politics were brought up in the show. People who think this year was "too political" for having 2 non-binary contestants or the whole Israel-thing really didn't pay attention to Eurovisions history at all. They always have been political. Russia as a host even had it's military on stage with Ta-Tu for the open performance and many countries send Drag/openly gay acts to seem more open and acceptable to the european watchers who don't know their countrys.

I have to leave my honest comment....hahaha...this is the winner song? Politics? Maybe. For the first time a boy uses mini skirt? Well for me it's ridiculous because to wear a mini skirt you have to have very good legs and is not the case. His outfit is out of date, not even retro or anything else....but a domestic made. The song in itself has nothing not in voice or performance that could win eurovision. I preferred the Israeli song. Another appointment. It is established by normal society rules that trousers only belong to male people. Anyway during last century wars American women first and than European started to wear trousers because they are more practical to wear daily than long, medium or mini skirts. They are more comfortable in a daily basis. So I do not see any inconvenient if man decide. As they already do to wear skirts....no problem....is their prerogative....of course....is not that aspect I am focusing at the moment....it's the awareness of the whole outfit....pink shades....bad legs and after all....as I can understand....a political win and not a real song win.
