Matthews is insane this year. Sammy shockingly played amazing this game as well. But giving up a 2 on 0 while on a power play and having nobody around for a mile is really really embarrassing.

Matthew's played poorly tonight despite his goal, Samsonov played great and Robertson made the OT winner possible.

@@dayne6221I don't think matthews played particularly poorly, but he and marner made a big mistake, and as bad a mistake as it was when it's players of their talent, it's definitely magnified. I've seen them both play worse games than this though

Leafs' power play has been brutal for a while now. Over-reliant on the drop pass, can't really get clean zone entries to get set up, always losing battles along the board. They're galaxy braining themselves too by playing WIlly at the point and Marner/Reilly near the side of the crease.

Oiler fan here, good to see sammy doing good again. Hopefullly he stays consistent enough for them to make playoffs, i just hope jack campbell could have this type of turnaround.

Yes definitely agree. Campbell is such a good guy and wears his heart on his sleeve. I really wish he would turn it around and have a phenomenal comeback.

Sammy saved the day. Now just imagine if that 2 on 0, wasnt bailed out by Samsonov, it would have been all the talk like it has been since December. That was all Samsonov, giving his team a chance. I will never cheer for the leafs ... but samsonov deserved this win.

Jets lack of finish and not being able to score on the PP was the difference.....credit to Samsonov as well who earned the shut out.

well this wasnt a usual game. Winnipeg is a great defensive team so not surprised it was low scoring. you cant judge just from this game. how about the 7-0 win over Pittsburgh a couple months ago?
