Ken Bromley Art Supplies presents Winsor & Newton Thames Radial Easel
A rigid, adjustable easel, recommended for Studio and College use. Strongly constructed from seasoned Beechwood, it can accommodate canvases up to 182cm (71") in height and can be tilted for the ideal working position.
The canvas rests on a shelf (which can be moved up to max. height of 150cm and down to a min. height of 39cm from the floor) with space for brushes whilst a sliding top block locks the upper edge. When not in use the easel folds for ease of storage. Collapsed length is 156cm.

re: the mystery t-bar cross found this on an Amazon review Hi Michael, The metal 'T Bar' is indeed the answer to your problem. On the base, at the rear of the upright stands, there are some holes. After removing the plastic end piece on the bar, push the bar through which ever hole gives you the desired setting for the upright. Once in place, replace plastic piece to bar. Also, there is a settling in period. I found that I could tighten the various wing nuts more as the parts bedded in, so to speak. Hope this helps. Regards, Brian. wohooooo!

I have just set-up one of these easels, what has confused me is why a metal T bar with a rubber bung on the end of it also came in the pack and what it is used for ? As you may be able to tell I am not familiar with easels and this is the first I have setup. Any explanations appreciated, thanks.

Hi does any out there know where I can purchase two of the Large Butterfly Nuts,used on the bottom of the above easel(Winsor & Newton Thames Radial Easel) as mine was lost in moving,,thanks

So when you open your box the first thing you need to do is swivel your legs out. Uh huh... Then extend the back leg as far as it will go. I see... Then you just need to lift the easel up. Oh, it's lifting.... Set the easel on the floor extend the two front legs out. Okay. Then give it a bit of a wiggle and make sure it's sat down as far as it can go. Oh yeah. When you've got to that point you need to tighten the two screws on the front. If you like...
