Kusk Bushcraft

Күн бұрын

On this bushcraft trip I spent two nights alone in the backcountry of Western Canada. Bringing a minimalistic kit meant I had to utilize a lot of the natural resources around me to ensure my stay was comfortable. This was a great outing that allowed me to practice a variety of wilderness living skills. Even though I was unsuccessful at harvesting food it was still a very enjoyable experience. I hope you enjoy this trip as much as I did. Thank you to everyone who watches. God Bless!
Temperatures during this trip:
High: 4 degrees Celsius (39 degrees Fahrenheit)
Low: -5 degrees Celsius (23 degrees Fahrenheit)
My clothing:
Upper body - Cotton base layer, hooded cotton sweater, waxed cotton jacket. (Total 3 layers)
Lower body - Cotton base layer, wool pants, waxed cotton pants. (Total 3 layers)

Only just found your videos. I already hooked. You've taken me back to a happier time 30 years ago in the early 90s, when myself and a dozen friends would build a series of bivouacs in our local woods. We'd spend weeks of our school summer holidays sleeping in the woods.. only returning home to stock up on tea and tinned foods for the fire. I'd love to go back out and attempt what you do, but I now have a young family I need to take care of. In the UK we get bad winters of around -15c from time to time, but never anything on a scale Canada experiences. Your adventures have brought it all back again. When I tell my eldest daughter what we used to do, she thinks we're all mad, but to us it was just the normal. Keep making your videos. I'm loving watching them. Thank you. Scott. Halifax, West Yorkshire. England.

Bushcraft and bush survival is becoming a lost art. Learning how to survive in the middle of nowhere can be beneficial in the current state of the world. Enjoying the peacefulness of the wilderness, the roar of the campfire, the rush of a stream is something many can't comprehend.

Your Videos send out such calm. You are humble and content with so little, thats really inspiring. What sets you apart from other Outdoors: You dont need high-end, you dont produce yourself, you get by with what nature offers you or doesnt. That is the real skill. Thats why you have my sub. Even if your channel is very successful and wil continue to grow, stay as humble as you are. Cause many will want to make money with you. And that would ruin your message. I also like your silent videos. Thanks for your great work! Greetings from Germany.

Just stumbled upon your channel by accident and I love your style. Looking forward to catching up on your earlier videos. I’m in England and we simply don’t get the conditions such as yours, so it’s always a pleasure to view adventures such as these. I’m a big fan of Lost Lakes and the Xander who I believe are from your neck of the woods. I don’t know if you watch any of the UK guys, but Simon a Bloke in the Woods and Kent Survival are great channels. Anyway, you’ve got yourself another subscriber. Looking forward to your next adventure. Keep up the good work sir.

Homie froma across the pond, If you want a legit experience, save up monies, get a passport, and go to Alaska, be warned though... you might not wanna go back home. Alaska is so damn beautiful, BUT it is still very wild. Further North you go, more desolate it becomes. Do the research before going there.

Hey man really enjoy the simple trips like yours. It’s so funny as I am much older than you but you bring me back to a time in life that my little brother pretty much stayed in the woods and made tents out of palmettos lean to and what not. We didn’t know we were Busch crafting then but it was so simple just as you are doing. Please continue these type of trips and as always safe travels man
