Winter Hot Tent Camping in Eastern Canada.

Hey !
Well, things finally worked out with dad life and my work schedule and I was able to get out for a winter camping trip.
My dog (Wendell) and I head out in a familiar forrest to a spot we like to go snowshoeing too, the camp road in was smooth sailing but once off it, we encountered some deep snow.
We end up getting to our destination and set up camp for a great night in the woods, and in true Maritimer fashion I cook some good food and have some beers. I hope you like the video, if you do, remember to Like, Comment and Subscribe. Sharing my video really helps build the channel.

HeyJason, man I really appreciate that, I try to be as honest as I can all while trying to make the video entertaining. I see a lot of videos where people will fabricate things, so make it seem harder or worse than it really is and it sort of bugs me, b/c those guys have many more subs than myself and some other really good channels I follow... but I guess The Kardashian show was much more popular than Alone or the Last Alaskans..... people love the drama haha Thanks again for the compliment !

Hey Paul, thanks man ! oh yrah Wendell is always tired on these trips lol Yeah the snow was very deep, but I walked ahead and didn't sink so I knew if I could get it up on the harder pack stuff, I should be OK. good tip is Don't spin the hell out of your machine, take your time and slower is better, the snow sometimes will pack under your tires instead of spinning and throwing the snow out the back.

Love your videos! Wendel I could watch him all day. He’s so cute! You sure can cook up a storm out there in the wilderness. After watching a lot of your videos you kind of inspired me to start videoing my own camping trips. I also bought a cot like yours and that is a big improvement in camp comfort. I hope to check out the trails down your way some day. New Brunswick (and Nova Scotia) have a lot to offer for ATVers. Like what you are doing. My own stomping ground is York and Carleton Counties for the most part but there is a lot more to explore. Heading for Carleton and Victoria regions this week.

Another good outing. maybe some tracks in the near future for the Grizzley. Also on the cutting board you should use a router on one side to depress the middle to that your food wont roll off. Plus if and when you do another steak dinner will keep all the juice from running off.

What ! No Way !!! thats awesome ! I grew up with Daves, it's literally the only hot sauce in my parents/brothers houses haha I branched out and started liking the Buffalo Sauce but I Always have a bottle of Dave's Hot sauce in my fridge haha So you said he "was" your father in law, did he pass?

Thanks for sharing.. Beautiful country even if it looks FREEZING ! . lolol couple of Questions. ? 1. the Collar you have on Wendell .. its it a GPS tracker or a Noise control ? 2. the tent and your camp stretcher, how small does that fold up in regards to travelling space on the Quad or your sled ? 3. I dont see any side or firearm with you, how do you protect yourself against Bears ? 4. the Gourmet Chicken Sanga looked DELISH .. stay safe n stay upright.

Hey man ! yeah it gets cold here haha but you learn to just live with it and enjoy it. The collar is a training collar, it can vibrate and shock. we dont use the shock feature, just vibrate to break his concentration on whatever he's fixed on. I wish it was a GPS. the tent is a bit big, but not too bad, probably about 1.5' long and maybe 6" round. No, were not allowed to have hand guns anywhere except a firing range, it's really stupid, I'd love to have a nice .45 or something for protection. Sometime I will bring my .22 with me but thats not much use against a bear haha I also have a 20g shot gun. Thanks man, the chicken burger was very good !

Awesome video !! We did a hot tent overnighter here in Moncton area !! Was -31 when we woke up we have a military hot tent and stove and hauled in with atvs with tracks was great !! Cheers !

Hey ! thanks awesome !!! so you probably had a much bigger stove then eh? the little stoves are nice but you cant load them up to burn a long time really, so you're always feeding wood in them.

hahahahaha yeah man I hear ya, nothing is cheap anymore..... but you can start small, get a tent that you can use summer and winter, then save up for a stove, there are some cheap stoves out there that will work find, you dont need the Titanium stuff. Cheers !

Hey ! thanks so much ! his collar is a training collar, if he gets fixed on something he should be (wild animal/people) I can vibrate it and it will kind of break his focus on them. I can shock him too but we dont really use that...

Hey joe ! thanks a lot man ! if the wood stove is going, you can wear a tshirt, but being a small stove, it doesn't have a long burn time, so that's why it's important to have a good sleeping bag. so you can let the stove go out and still be warm. On this trip I kept the stove going basically all night. (every hour or so, wake up and put a log in)

Hey buddy! Good looking camping trip in the snow! I wonder, if you had the Grizzly in 4wd before getting stuck if you would have made it through compared to getting stuck in 2wd? I don't know, maybe or maybe not. Oh, hot chicken sandwich... you need to go to Nashville to get the real deal there. Yours looked good, but Nashville is where it's at. You want sauces shipped to you, let me gather up some desert hot sauce and I'll send you some heat. Haha, anybody can send scorching hot sauce... it's made everywhere and really not enjoyable to eat. Instead, I'll have to shop for it, but you will probably really like our prickly pear cactus jelly. It's made from the fruit of our prickly pear cactus, and it's really good with sweetness that makes for a great jelly on toast/bagels, etc. Let me look around for stuff and I'll send you a sample of things. Wendell is getting a good diet and looked like he really enjoyed the trip. We changed our diet for Marshall since he is getting older now (softer food and more nutrients). @@Maritimer Haha, no problem, I won't send anything scorching hot that'll set you free lol. Next time I go shopping I'll see about getting you a jar of the prickly pear cactus jelly. It's a jelly, but instead of grape or strawberry, it's made from the fruit of a prickly pear cactus that we have out here in the desert. Marshall is getting half canned food / half dry food mixed together. We chose Purina Beneful based off of our Veterinarian's suggestions, and he has been doing really well with it. 3 ounces wet / 3 ounces dry mixed together twice a day feeding schedule. He's only 11 pounds, so the 12 ounces of daily food is right where his dietary needs are to maintain his current weight. Every once in a while I'll make chicken & rice for him, and he also gets the mini carrots for snacks.

Hey ! Oh man I have no clue how hot it was inside, I have had it so hot I could wear a tshirt. And I think it ended up getting down to about -12 then with the wind it was -20 outside.

Hey man ! Normally I just burn any bones (steak/chicken) in my campfire or stove. as far as plastic garbage I will put in my garbage bag and hang in a tree away from camp. I haven't had any issues with animals though, even times when I forgot to put food away from camp. In this vieo I had some used oil, I cant remember if I put it back in the mason jar OR I walked away from camp and dumped it... I have a weird thing I do also, is when I pee I will pee all around my campsite, I dont know if it helps but I know animals can smell it and know its not a normal smell and I hope they move away. Not saying it works, maybe I've just been lucky haha

@@patflinn5224 do you notice much flex in them being bias? I been thinking radials but I’m running stock tires at moment at they suck. Turn sharp and the tires are too soft and flex just annoying

No not much flex at all and. They last a long time I have over 3000 miles on a set and still have half tread

Hey Dave ! This is in the South East part of New Brunswick (East coast) of Canada. I didnt bring any protection with me, the bears are hibernating, so really all I'd have to worry about with be Coyotes, bob cat.... no real big threat.

Hey ! in this case no, I don't think they would help, the snow was so deep I sunk to the skid plate, the best would be tracks for deep snow. Chains only help really on ice and stuff.
