Okay maybe not ever…but this particular fish wasted no time eating my Mission Tackle Tube Jig (www.avantlink....)

Use pro cure scent minnow when I vertical jig with a tube jig from the dock at fallen leaf lake for rainbow trout

Nice catch! Do the Mackinaw come in shallower in the winter? What's the weight of the jig you used? 👍

Yeah they do. In fact; the will sometimes be on the surface when the water is cold. I had a 7/8-ounce jig.
