Last week during Oklahoma's snowmagedon I couldn't resit my Wisconsin heritage. I shoveled the driveway and sidewalks three times in two days. It was a brisk -10, I had my lighter hoodie on, the city was quiet and peaceful.

The shovel part hitting the crack in the driveway is that best!! 😂 so me every time I shovel snow.

As someone who loves winter surrounded by mostly winter haters, I really enjoyed this.

As someone who lives in North Eastern Ontario, I can relate to this vid. It would seem people in Wisconsin are very similar to people in most of Canada. If I didnt know you were from Wisconsin, I would swear you are Canadian. Your humour, the way you talk, the things you do, it is hard to believe you are not Canadian.

I love winter and snow and I miss it so much. I grew up outside of Cleveland OH then got transferred to Buffalo NY for work. I absolutely loved it. I was transferred to Texas and I can’t stand the weather here. Little to no snow, winter is short and the summers are ridiculously hot. I’m hoping I can get back up north before I retire!

Milwaukee native here. So, I used to loathe winter until I lived near the Amazon in Guyana (Peace Corps) and then in Southern Mex totaling 5 years. Let me tell ya - 100% humidity at 95 degrees with no air conditioner and intermittent electricity (so barely a fan either) and you'll NEVER be a snow hater again. Couldn't cool off in the river either bc of electric eel, piranha, caimen, snakes, parasites, etc. I actually got roundworm and giardia while there. Malaria was also a major concern. Mexico's weather wasnt quite as bad, and the river was safe - but still, I freaking LOVE winter now; I def don't take it for granted anymore. Like, I want to move to the North Pole. Edit: Everyone romanticizes the tropics - but in reality it's extremely brutal. Both the weather and the critters - including the tiny ones that like to live inside you. 😫😫

1:06, I can relate. This is my childhood shoveling snow from walks and drives torn up by tree roots and decades of not resurfacing, and an occasional porch where the nail heads are not flush with the deck.

Evidently, Dude Dad already forgot about the winter training he learned from Charlie last week. I went for a jog yesterday when it was 30f in shorts and a T-shirt. I am Charlie for sure.

We got "hammered" with snow for two days on a weekend here in the Seattle area two weeks ago. Me.. I grabbed my mountaineering tent and headed outside into the snow at 10pm. The wind was howling and it snowed all night long. I loved being out there, it felt like being on the side of Rainier. It snowed the entire next day and I slept outside the second night too. That night.. It was so still and silent outside. So peaceful. My wife and our friends all wondered why I would do that. Easy explanation.. Getting an opportunity to try out gear to see what works and what doesn't before getting onto the side of a mountain to figure it out is priceless to me. I Love being out in the snow.

It snowed the first time today, I went for a night walk in the woods! I saw a deer and 2 coyotes. In the morning, I was alone and literally commented on the fresh air as soon as I was outside, and thought about how great it was that it snowed throughout the entire day. Winter in the midwest: 10 inch snow storm and the schools are on a 2 hour delayed start! We chuckle when they get 1/2 inch of snow in the south and everything is shutdown. We always send warm thoughts for a speedy "recovery"!!!!
