Winter lure fishing for Cod and Pollack- Exploring new marks

Күн бұрынI was super excited to have conditions good enough to lure fish this week, I headed down to St. Abbs feeling very hopeful. On the first day the fishing didn't go as well as planned, only managing to land a few Coalies. After releasing a few blanks recently I wanted to put my all into getting a nice fish out for the channel. It ended up taking 3 trips down to get what I was after!

Great footage again - amazing part of the world. Pleased to see you using a rooe and descender device. Reckon a life jacket wouldn’t be a bad idea especially during winter. Anybody have any suggestions for a small and lightweight lifejacket?

cheers dad. defenders working a treat. getting the hang of it now so im thinking I might start upping the stuff I do with it, maybe fish some places which will have literally never been fished before. unlucky time to ask the question. no ones going to see it as its not getting views 😂

Cheers liam. Do you know of any fishing vests (pockets etc) with a built in life jacket? I am not sure the type of PFD would operate fully if a fishing iacket was worn on top of one?

Mate when you said you can’t lure fish in the bark I’ve got glow in the dark spinners and I’ve had some off my best lure fishing at night in absolute dark at 12 1 in morning and I’ve had 2 PBS broke In a night lure fishing a good spinner for night fishing is the FFT pro lumo stinger very good glow in dark spinner anyways nice to see you having a couple nice pollock to end it

Ive had plenty fish a night time on lures , even had mackerel on black feathers in the dark 🎣

Great call Robert, I haven't heard of them before but I can imagine them being very effective. Cod tend to feed at night from my knowledge so I bed you'd do well with the cod. I'll have a look at them. it could be a good video idea 👍
