Looking for good locations to catch pollock in Scotland , any good places on the west of Scotland ?
@UntouchedFishing8 сағат бұрын
Yes. Anywhere on the Isle of Skye is where you really want to be. Niest points a classic and it would be a miracle to blank it. You’ve got a good chance all over though. Find some deep water and current lines and you’ll likely get on the fish

I don’t particularly understand how your using this bait. Surely your using something stronger than your standard bait elastic?
@UntouchedFishing7 сағат бұрын
Just heavy baitex. That’s the stuff with biodegrades. Only thing with using any bait elastic on baits that size is you need about 50m per bait 😂🎣

Great video and a new subscription for myself! I’m sure you’re in the know but be careful flying a drone over Queensferry crossing due to the proximity with the airport! Keep the vids coming 💪🏼

I just found your channel and liked it so much I subscribed, I used to fish Blackness but it is like the saying on the graphics on the stone, it really is and the locals are very, I wont say for my dear Mother used to tell me if you can't say something nice say nothing at all. Can you do a catch and cook at the water as I always used to enjoy the challenge and the taste of fish straight from the sea.

Mental the amount of work that went into catching one fish. Think that would make me quit fishing ngl, the money and travel to do that 😭😭😭😭

Firstly I would like to say that this was great to watch, and I have been thinking for the past 2 years to come to Oban and fish the Sound of Mull for those big skate in my kayak, I still have a bit more preparing to do though. Looking at the time of year that you caught that big fish, I am looking to go there more in the Autumn where I heard that the bigger ones appear. Nice catch... P.s When ever you go out in a kayak or small boat, remember to NOT wear waders. If you fall in you will not be able to keep yourself afloat.
@UntouchedFishing7 сағат бұрын
Thank you Les. I think you’ll do well on the kayak- good luck with the direction it decides to swim 😂. Only kidding best of luck 🎣🎣

i tell this story with no shame, first time i went carp fishing and i was with my wife 0 experience, no one to ask for advice, trying out method feeder first time, first time using baitrunner, all i had was some equipment that i bought by watching youtube guides...... all im gonna say i actualy cried because of stress and breaking and snaging 5 of my feeders and i had only 1 left, feeder mix sticking to mould, breaking my new net by stepping on it...... not a single fish.... i was in tears and when i almost gave up my wife said throw the feeder in again and after that we leave..... few minutes pass and my baitrunner gone crazy... i hooked my first ever common carp and landed it :') it was pure joy <3 i throw again and another one bites like 20 min after <3 that one was 60cm 4kg and we decided to take it home and we had it for lunch next day after we preped it and left it for the night <3 that day i learned how to keep up hope and not quiting when everything goes bad ! now a few trips later i learned thing or two and that is what fishing is <3 learning, adapting and enjoying ! great video !

Great video. I grew up in Yorkshire, mainly fishing for Carp and Pike and fly fishing for Trout. I’ve lived in Australia for 10 years now and really got into my sea fishing. I’d love to come back and fish for Cod and Pollock in the UK. We catch various kinds of rays here but not that big!
@UntouchedFishing7 күн бұрын
what you lack in rays you more than make up for in sharks and tuna I guess! Yorkshire a good place for them both, if you did I recon you'll be able to get a few out 😁🎣

Great video and well done for highlighting just how important it is to us Anglers that these fish be looked after and conserved/preserved. Fishing has to change here in the UK if we are to have fish stocks for the future. We've got to start looking after our fish better than we have done.
