Brilliant video. I've always found that timing and pacing is easy when flat, but changes drastically on steep terrain and in bad weather, just as you said. I'll try using my phone as a reference next time, thanks! Also, using a stylus is a brilliant idea and something that I never thought of! Allows you to use your phone without taking gloves off. Edit: mapping app looks like Viewranger

Brilliant tip to use a digital mapping measuring tool to calibrate 100m for pace calculation.

I agree with the use of a phone. Great idea on the stylus and I now use these BUT you appear to have the phone attached to you with "string" Try as I might I still can't see how you do this and my efforts on this haven't led to a solution. As dropping said phone is always going to be a slight calamity I'd appreciate some info on how you've attached your case .
