Early spring or early autumn. Autumn for deciduous trees if you can collect with leaves and protect from frosts.

As far as I know, these mini-lectures were intentionally short and punchy. Not necessarily time to start working on the tree. But instead, Harry shared valuable information here, in a short amount of time, on working with Beeches and general considerations for deciduous design.
