@@lotterhand I would love to find a hognose snake! In my parts, they're getting very scarce. Too much development in NC....McMansions and boxscores, etc everywhere.

Nice, love to see the native critters. We have camel crickets here, too where I live near the Susquehanna River.

They can be quite common in spots! inf fact they frequently set off my trail.

@lotterhand Living here not far from the Susquehanna River I see all sorts of cool things. I had a baby snapping turtle show up at my door lost one night in Sept a few years ago. I gave him a good headstart, and released him back into the wild. I have a crappy short on my channel of releasing him. If you watch it, sorry for my shitty videotaping skills 🤭 but the turtle was a champ. Never tried to bite me but I fed him with tongs because I like my fingers right where they are. Lol. He never looked back 😊👍 That's a picture of him on my profile picture, my favorite. I had just fed him and an hour later he was looking at me like food ? They can put a lot of food away at a time 🤣 He was a trip.

Very cool! I also liked your black rat snake video. I grew up in MA and never saw a camel cricket until I moved to NC....had no idea they're in NY State. Back to the timber rattler: I hope it didn't have that horrible fungus that's killing so many reptiles....even cottonmouths down South.

Thank you! Not until I was an adult exploring rattlesnake country did I come across camel crickets! Unfortunately I, have observed snake fungal disease, but less frequently in recent years.
