Can't wait to finish Winter's Heart, and watch the Book Diary! I just finished The Path of Daggers, and there was nowhere near enough Nynaeve, Mat was gone; I'm really enjoying Egwene's storyline, but I don't like how she treats her friends. Let's see where Winter's Heart goes! =D (I still enjoyed PoD, it was just pretty slow for such a short book. I don't think it was nearly as big a slog as people made it out to be, but I also don't have to wait years between books...)

Watching you read/reread these makes me excited to reread them myself! The ending of this specific book was phenomenal.

I've just finished The Dragon Reborn, and I loved it. I understand some people's issues with pacing, but the story is really interesting.

I really enjoyed this book. It is, for me, the standout book from that slow down slog section of the series.

I agree! 😆 there were definitely some slow bits but the plot points that happened definitely made up for it for me

Five out of five? Really? I’m on my first read and this is the first book where halfway through as soon as they introduced Tuon I was like “I’m fucking done” and had to put down the book.

Great review! I agree with most of the points, especially the end of the book which was really enthralling and one of the best scenes of the entire series. I love Winter's Heart even if it occurs between "The Path of Daggers" and "Crossroads of Twilight', my two less favourite books of the Wheel of Time. Yes, from book 6 to 10 it was kinda inequal, but a slow pacing does not mean it's non-interesting. With your video, I wonder what I can learn if I reread the Wheel of Time. I finished last summer and I'm discovering other books now (I began The Dark Tower from Stephen King and I have to finish The Fitz and The Fool Trilogy from Robin Hobb and the Iron Heart trilogy from Brandon Sanderso), so I guess it will wait a few years. I keep those wonderful books at home :D

Thanks! I think they are my two least favorite of the series too. You may or may not pick up on more things, but I personally didn't pick up on all the details. Its not that they are hidden for the reader, its more that i wasn't able to see all the details and connections because there are too many to focus on in the first read if that makes sense. I just started the assassin's apprentice trilogy, I enjoyed the first one and can't wait to continue. Even after i finish the series this time around i plan to do another reread, but i will probably wait a few years too :)

Am coming to the end of mol, i never noticed the 'slog' books 8,9,10, but i like court politics

That's awesome you felt that way!! Typically I like court politics too but some of the stuff was so spread out that I was having a hard time making the connections I think.
