Definitely believe it has to do with salinity. When fishing brackish water I always found my redfish super copper. And on the flats bright silver as they are in that high salinity

I'm going to agree with you about the color of the reds. because I have never seen a golden/copper red I live on the other side of the river in the southernmost part of texas

Back in January a friend of mine and I went up north of Rockport, in some shallows neas San Jose Island, it was a slow day, but I got 1 slot Drum.

So satisfying catching fish on a fly or lure you made yourself. Last summer I had great luck catching redfish with the color orange. Might be worth trying when the water heats up

I think the cleaner the water the more copper. The dirtier the water the more pale they are. At least thats my experience in slidell la. Lake ponchartrain basin. But who knows

Been looking at that boat. Have you had any trouble with the trailer not being galvanized?

not yet. it won't last forever but im sure its got a few more years in it even using it with the guide service.
