I bought the magellan 10footer and returned it before I even took it out. It's probably fine for the lakes but the super soft bottom made me return it for something with a better plastic

The plastic felt like it would not hold up against oyster rash. It got a couple dents and bumps just from being put in the bed of my truck and being strapped down

Hello, I’m excited about this knot! Do you think this would be sufficient for 100lb tuna? Granted mostly 20-40 lb being caught, but just in case the trophy hits it, I want to make sure it won’t fail! Thank you

That's a halibut. The white belly proves it. Flounders have a clear belly

It will be about 70-80% line strength. Great in a pinch or in a hurry absolutely. If you have time the FG knot is stronger and goes through the guides VERY much better. There are times and places for both. Tight lines!

A catch & cook is overdue. A brief seminar in filleting Flounder would be helpful.

I use this knot so much , never broke a knot . It's so fast compared to most leader knots. I use all kinds of knots but if it's a short leader this is my go

Terrific video. With age hopefully wisdom. The older I’ve gotten the more I realize less is more and the simpler the better. I had amazing tournament bass boats and now fish 100% on foot and don’t miss the boats at all. A simple canoe though could be useful at times. Enjoy guys.

The Scanoe was listed at 90lbs. & it's several inches under 16 ft. ( when regs kick-in ). The plastic is lighter than fiberglass, and quieter than aluminum. On open water, in a breeze, the wide beam is stable, but slow. Not paddle friendly. Evidently, the push-pole works really well. The indents at the transom, and handle at the bow, were added in later editions, so it's a mid 80's or later.

Just don’t roll it in deep water I signed off em after taking a dunk in the Colorado in Austin in late February Water was 50 air was 65 and it was a long hard paddle back being that cold

Bro, canoes are the way to go. Kid you not. They are so versatile and easy to lift and take anywhere. I highly recommend looking into some of the lighter versions made out of either composites or royalex. Mine is stable enough to stand on and bowfish
