We eagerly await your one man band cover of this Wave, ;)

A couple things: - Music (except drums) is written by Jari (lead singer) and demoed. Kai (mostly) would then figure out the drums. - The other guys were initially hired as session musicians before becoming more of a band. - Jari used to be in Ensiferum were he established himself as a guitar god. - The pull this off live flawlessly; if you have the chance to see them DO IT. - Jari has since put "down the guitar" to be able to focus on singing and they've added a guitarist in that role. - Teemu is even more godlike in guitar. He teaches online and is, by all accounts, a great teacher. You said you wanted a fixed camera; doubt you could react to it but, a guitar lesson channel has a couple angles synced up of him playing the solo from Winter Madness (from Wintersun's album prior to this), which is one of the most insane guitar solos I've ever heard and this dude plays it like it's nothing.

Yes, you should definitely check out "Time" by these guys, just as unbelievable, the talent. Kai is now Nightwish's drummer, and Jukka the bassist is now Nightwish. I think Tuomas made a genius move picking these guys up.

I would highly recommend watching a drum cam of this song from Kai, the guy is an absolute monster.

If you were impressed by voice of singer Jari Mäenpää, just think about it that in his army years he got tuberculosis and lost 25% of his other lung. You should also react their another masterpiece from same rehearsal, Time.

I love seeing a musician react to Wintersun. Their music is so complex and precise and great to see you appreciating it. Jari, the singer, is the mastermind behind this band. I have heard that he uses up to 200 tracks to make this 'wall of sound' and does most of it himself, apart from the drumming. Nice to 'meet' you Wave. I'll have to check out some of your recordings now.

Really gotta do Time from the same live studio. Epic guitar solo.

Wintersun is an amazing band and Jari/vocals is the driving force despite having had TB and reducing his lung capacity (shows doesn't it?). Kai went over to NW to replace Jukka and now the bassist, Jukka has taken over for Marko in NW at least for the time being. Hey Wave here is a real challenge for your great skill level, how about doing this as a one man band cover?? Next up anything from this session but Time is a must. Amazing how many great Finnish metal bands there are and all the great musicians out of there much like Japan and their crazy talent pool. I always say a dream drum battle would be Kai and Haruna (Lovebites) especially on those double kicks!!!!

I found your channel because of my favorite modern rock band (Band-Maid), and now I see you're reacting to my favorite extreme metal band. I just wish Jari knew how to get new music out as quickly as Kanami & Co.

i think that "acoustic" guitar part is done with Piezo mic that Ibanez? has blue or green. edit: bassist Jukka is in Nightwish too.

The Bass player, Jukka Koskinen, is now playing with Nightwish (as a session player for now), so Kai gets a familiar Bassist, and NW gets a Jukka playing again. He just plays, and hasn't sung yet. Also, Asim Searah live rhythm guitar player and background singer for Wintersun live shows (not in the band at the time of this recording iirc) opened for "Russian Nightwish Cover band 'Nevski & The Prospects'" (actually Nightwish doing a preconcert for their live tour), so a lot of cross contamination going on here with NW and WS and a metric crapton of talent.

You really should hit Time from the same session. It's even better than this one.
