Always always love your WIP and Chats!!!! Based on some of the challenges you faced - here’s an idea for a video (no pressure, no stress!!!): what to do when things go wrong (soft putty, tips not fitting, glue not sticky, gaps, popping drills, lines that won’t straighten, weird rendering that doesn’t look right…etc)

Worked on my garden moving wheelbarrows of dirt 🤪 and had you chatting in my headphones! Thanks for making the work go by faster! 🩰 these ballet slippers always make me laugh because I thought for the longest time they were a pair of disembodied ears and could not for the life of me figure out what they would be used for as an emoji 😂

Hi Katie x Thanks for the wip and chat. 🎭 Happy Mothers Day (belated) it is wonderful you got a date night with Adam. It is important you get quality time just the two of you. The new babysitter sounds like a hit with the boys. There is nothing worse than siting in a seat that isn't made for us voluptuous people. I feel your pain. I suffered with migraines as a child and I wasn't allowed cheese or chocolate. Now I also have a lazy eye so walked around with a plaster over one to train the other lol I also had a problem with my adenoids and tonsils and had to sit each evening with a match stick between my teeth to help me learn how to breath threw my nose. So when I was told no chocolate or cheese I just couldn't do it. It was the days mum used to get cheese of a long block (no prepacked) and I would think mum wouldn't notice a big chunk missing 🤦‍♀️. I did suffer after I still love all cheese. I hope you get sorted at the doctors and get to have the medication that works. Love to you all x x Ellie x

I am currently working on Satura from Margaret Morales. This is my 1st one from her and I'm OBSESSED! I am using the enhancement kit on it from DP with Sparklers (also my first time doing this) and this has been probably one of my FAV paintings of all time now. I have done the painting you're working on. HOLY confetti. But I will say it turns out REALLY nice once done. You'll be glad you did it and the comparison videos!

I don’t always get to watch when they first come out, but there will always be time for me to catch up. Hearing just everything from Diamond paintings to kids is something I’ve come to look forward to. The comparison canvases that your doing , I want to thank you for taking that time for us. Love to see someone doing something skilfully, as your DP is. With regards Doctor Who, the brand new season is quite short, so watching Jodi would give you a bit more to watch, at least. As a DW fan of long standing, I would highly recommend Jodi’s seasons. 😸 I am currently reading through Margery Allingham’s Campion series, most now available for very little on kindle. Fantasy romance wise - I greatly enjoyed Jordan L. Hawk’s Whybourne & Griffin series. A mix of Victorian/Edwardian detective/ adventure/ Lovecraft style horror/ with the central romance between the two male protagonists of the title. Very spicy which means not for everyone, but if you like it there are ten novels and various short stories in the completed series. I read a lot of historical romance, so this was similar but different, and included some of my other reading genres all at once 😎 very inclusive of difference. Cheers. Have a great week. 🌼

I love listening to your WIP & Chats! I grew up (mostly) in southern CA, so it is nice to hear about it without living there. As for drinking, I am right there with you, Girl. I don't get a migraine, but alcohol makes me really sick. I don't miss it, except when I want to have just one for a holiday, like our anniversary or a holiday with our families.

Happy Mother’s Day! Glad you found a babysitter🎉, that is one of the hardest things for me. Hmmm the Doctor Who thing is subjective, no you don’t need to rewatch anything to enjoy the current series, but there are always echos of stories and incarnations planted in the new stuff. My cousins and I started watching in the early 90’s and we often call each other with things we think are connected. If you have time and someone to fangirl/guy with watch 13, if not don’t. 🫏🤡 this emoji cracks me up, a staple in our Doctor chats.

I was making the same association (MM)when you caught it. I agree, health insurance is terrible! You always have to jump through hoops to get anything that is really needed. I'm so glad you were able to find a good babysitter and go out on a date for Mothers Day! Hope you have a great week! 🐒

Oh my goodness, I feel your migraine suffering. I have endometriosis and adenomyosis... and the hormonal migraines that I get knock me right out. I have to be in the dark, everything needs to be silent, the slightest movement is torture. I really hope that you manage to get the medication covered by your insurance.

We tried to go to a comedy show a couple weeks ago (I never do comedy, but I like Joe Pera!), but we drove 3hours to the venue only to see a note on the door that it was postponed until October! They had emailed us a half hour after we left home. So we had dinner and drove 3 hours back home. Ouch! 🗿

Same this week…putty sticky but dropping drills, won’t stick to canvas, but it’s sticky! Putty drops drills but others won’t release 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

Hi Katie, thank you for another wonderful wip n chat 🦥 I am working on Libra by Dakota Deatwiler for the dakotathon. I am so sorry your insurance is being difficult. I am a life long migraine suffer and in fact I get three types of migraines, so I completely understand how debilitating they can be and how unfair it is that the insurance company’s make people jump through hoops to get the medication that actually works. Hang in there and hopefully your dr can help get you through those hurdles so you can get the medicine you need ❤

Hey there! Just got started with diamond painting last week because of my 4 year old son, we were in the store and saw a cute Peter rabbit diamond painting he wanted. I ended up helping him here and there and instantly got addicted! Bought myself a cheap one at the dollar store the day after and a real DAC one is on its way now. Sidenote: I’m also a Star Trek fan and go to conventions, also read the same books as you!

I was thinking I missed out on some new Mandie Manzano but then realized you meant Margaret Morales just as you realized it too! I’m working on A Girl and Her Poodle from JGS. I love the picture, but I’m struggling a bit with gapping. I’m sure it will look alright from a distance. I’m listening to 1984 on Audible. I’m new to this app but I love listening as I diamond paint. I watched your J. Wall comparison last week. I prefer the cleaner rendering style. I’m curious to see how your current project turns out. In regard to Dr Who, I'd say that there is no need to go back and watch earlier episodes. New Dr is amazing and I would definitely recommend jumping straight in. I've watched the first 2 episodes and loved them x

Hi Katie, good morning from Los Angeles County. Where it is Philly and cloudy. Love your WIP and Chats. I am still working on Golden Cocker Spaniel. Now I want a Cocker Spaniel puppy. Except my personal assistant said I would have to get rid of Herschel. Evil woman. I am glad you had fun seeing the comedians. The last time I saw comedy was July of 1996 at the Comedy Club on Sunset Blvd. Oh by the way Pantages is on Hollywood Blvd. My late sister and I saw several productions there, including Les Mis, and Wicked( I didn't like Wicked). I rarely get Migraines these days. But instead I get attacks of TMJ. I take twice a day Tegretol for TMJ. Sometimes the medication doesn't work. This past weekend nothing worked including heat and ice. So I have APC cream with Cannibus. I rubbed the cream on the right of my face, and in 10 minutes the pain was gone. I am a Whovian. Been watching Dr. Who since Jon Petree. I am not a fan of Jodie Whicker. I didn't think any of the episodes were good at all. I had to stop watching. So, I will start watching on Disney+ the new episodes with the new Doctor. I am glad your sons like their new babysitter. Most of the time my Canadian Grandma was the babysitter. Grandma introduced my sister and I to the Marx Bros. You have a wonderful day.😊😊😊

Had a day that was warm in NH recently and my wax was a problem then it cooled down and the problem went away. It would literally fall out of my placer. So I would agree. Nearly done with my first painting. Started with coasters

My reading brought me to the Andari Chronicles, and… so far so good. I don’t know if I’ll recommend it until I finish the first book. Watching… I’ve been watching the great British baking show to catch up. And listening to… Stray Kids. A lot of stray kids. They released a new song with Charlie Puth this week and it was nice.

I find that Randa's Crafty Corner putty tends to be more dry and less soft, especially in different climates.

I was trying to find a comparison of the same diamond painting image/size canvas but with a different number of colours to see the difference more colours makes, e.g. 25, 45, 60, 90 colours etc. As far as I'm aware, no one has made a video about this yet. I could only find size comparisons.

That's an interesting idea for sure! The two versions of "Spirit of Flight" I did had a very different number of colors - it was 60-something on one, and 200+ on the other, but they were also different shops and rendering styles. I'll poke around and see what else is out there, though!

Hi! Yes, it's one kind of glue you can use to replace spots that aren't sticky on the canvas anymore. You can also try wiping the glue with a baby wipe and letting it dry, and that often helps restore the original stickiness as well!

I think it depends! For a lot of people, it makes a really big difference. If you're having a hard time seeing the symbols, it's definitely worth considering trying one.

How do you store your work in progress projects? I don't have a place to leave it out.

I actually either store them flat on top of a tall cabinet, or loosely rolled if they're too big. I don't have a good place to leave mine out either, it's tricky!

Really love watching your channel. You are so great with the information and you make things fun. Have a question, can one of your videos explain how you make placing squares look so easy?! I have started my first square canvas and am having trouble with placing them straight. Mine go on crooked and have to keep twisting them to try and get them straight. Please keep the videos coming. Glad you had a great weekend. Thanks for all you do.

They've "rebranded" this new season of Doctor Who as season 1! The Jodie Whitaker seasons had some really good stuff and she was FANTASTIC as the Doctor, but overall it was the weakest of the series and suffered from some poor writing. I'd vote start with the new stuff and if you get intrigued enough to go back, the series just lends itself great to having soft reboots with every Doctor and you can check out what you missed without feeling like you have to do homework first. 💩

With all your talk of Star Trek I’ve been thinking I should go watch TNG since I checked and it’s on paramount. I watched most of it new as a kid with my dad but never finished the series. 🤹🏻‍♀️
