@DeWitteWulf Die letzten Goten sind nicht tot, sie wissen nur nicht, daß sie Goten sind. Sie werden seit über 200 Jahren gegeneinander gehetzt und ausgeblutet, von Politikern und deren Hintermännern, die nicht zu diesen Völkern gehören. Das beste aktuelle Beispiel der Krieg in der Ukraine, die beiden Weltkriege, die Napoleonischen Kriege und danach die deutsch-deutschen Kriege.

Aren't the people of southern Sweden descended from the Goths, which is why their largest city is called Gothenburg, or Goth City?

@@sneezyserena Göteborg in Swedish, also meaning Borough of the Goths, and yes, the people of Västergötland, Småland, and some of Blekinge are of Gothic descent. But calling them Goths is a mistake. The people who are most Gothic would probably be the people of Götland who speak a Gutnish dialect still. But overall the Goths aren't really a people anymore with much of their culture and language being integrated or dissolved in the places they settled. The last Goths were those of Crimea which is now predominantly Russian, Ukrainian, and Turkic in culture and language

I am a descendant of the Goths, I am R1a-M458 but I still have a good amount of I1-M253, which belongs to the Wielbark culture, but since I have mixtures with the steppe inhabitants, I fall more under the branch of the Ostrogoths

@Ali-bu6lo All Kosacks are Goths. The Crimea War was against the Goths. Until Stalin deported the rest of the Goths from Crimea, you could find a lot of PPL there who spoke an germanic Dialect their Ancestors was the Varangians.

Eines meiner Lieblingsgedichte von Felix Dahn.Die Vertonung könnte etwas Lebhafter sein,im Takt der zuschlagenden Schwerter und Äxte. Ansonsten hätte es mir gut gefallen. Vielen Dank.

@In Thule gab es ein Massaker gegen die Goten, ich weis nicht ab da welche übrig waren um einen Trauerzug zu veranstalten.

Theodoric conquered Rome but did not plunder it, in gratitude he was made Emperor.His troops setled in the Italian North and as he did it was the question to bring him home in teh North or burry in Italy.
