I have seen you make these several times by hand but adding the power drill makes quick work of it. Thanks for sharing this time-saving tip.

The captions labeled the drill noise as music, them applause 🤣😭 I'm crying! Also thanks for this killer tip. Coils are killing my poor hands

Crazy how much time this saves compared to hand coiling, can't believe I ever did this all by hand.

Thank you once again for a beautiful coil design. They really enhance the whole piece. I'm practicing these coils without the drill, as you say, it becomes a bit tedious..& less engaging with your piece.

Thank you so much for this tutorial. I have made this wrap before, but it was never as easy as this. I find that the smaller gauge and the square wire make a big difference in the entire process. Thank you 🙏🏼

I normally find voices like his boring but I actually dig it for what he teaches. He is precise with his verbiage and speaks clearly. He doesn't speak too fast to follow. Just enough time to absorb what he's saying and comprehend it. Most wire wrapping tutorials whip through it too fast to follow & it's a constant stop, rewind, find your spot again cycle. So frustrating!! But this guy has the PERFECT tempo and clarity to follow and absorb!!

Hubby's drill is pretty bulky...I ended up modifying my x-acto knife...I unscrewed the top, took knife out and pryed the teeth apart, put L-shape wire in the slot, and tighted it back down...works perfectly and not as heavy!!! Plus, I don't have to use 'his' tools...hahahaha

same concept with vape coils, I was pretty good at making those with my drill so this should be no problem!

Have you tried square in your drill? It’s a lot of fun because it twists beautifully!

Wow! I picked up some small nuggets. I’ve been using my flex shaft to make coils for years now but never thought to bend a 90 to stick out the teeth of the chuck. This should make a difference, I often break the wire off in mid coiling. It can be super frustrating

Can I please ask what the tattoo is on your left hand? Your hand never stays still long enough for me to see it and figure it out and curiosity is about to drive me bonkers! 💥 Sorry if this is too personal, not trying to be rude at all. By the way, I love your work and thank you so much for all the work you do to teach us all that you do. Hope you have a great day!

Thank you very much for your video. Since I don't have the tool like yours, I've tried it with mini grinder (dremel but not Dremel brand), but I can't do it as the grinder rotate too fast even with first level (I think it's about 5,000 rpm). How long can the tool make the coil of 28ga wire on 26ga wire? For example, can it make as long as 30 cm ? Thank you again for your inspiring tutorial, Sir. Btw, nice tattoo :).

My rotary tool does not have the reverse option but I do use a dremel flex shaft with it. Could I coil like you do in the opposite direction?

Have you ever pulled this off with copper wire? I haven’t done as many heady pieces with Silver, I’m still in the copper experimentation phase, and the copper always seems to snap in the chuck.
@noxcorvum1999
@noxcorvum1999 3 жыл бұрын
I do this with copper. Sounds like you're using too much tension on your smaller wire. Try to remember to let the drill do the work, don't pull, just hold.
