I just started watching Markiplier recently while I’m going through a bad time in my life. Some days he’s the only thing that has made me smile. The more videos I watch and find out about how much he gives and how real he is… I have become a huge fan. Him dancing in the elevator in The Stanley Paradox. The irony in that story is that there ARE people who have "don't call an ambulance" bracelets because THEY CAN'T AFFORD AN AMBULANCE IN THE UNITED STATES! It's definitely great that he got help, and can afford to get healthcare. But yeah, that sort of thing is actually a serious issue.

I can extremely relate to how you were feeling with the make a wish child. I remember when I was about 13 or 14 years old, I was playing with one of my friends little brothers. He just wanted to toss a ball back and forth so I happily did. Two days later my mother told me he had past away in a horrible event and I was completely broken inside. To see such a happy face. Full of joy and never recognizing evil in the world, and then to know they were ripped out of the world in such a horrible manner. It crushes you. He was only 6 years old.

not trying to sound rude, but honestly it sounded a bit fake to me, not the story but the reaction when he was talking about her death, the long pauses and blank stare just looks like a bad act of sadness, reality is, if it indeed happened a long time ago, it wouldn't affect you to the point you stop talking unless you're trying to think of a way to make it more dramatic and gain more followers/charisma, not hating, after all he *is* a youtuber and he needs to act & do everything possible to get money, so im just stating my opinion, feel free to ignore me

I guess the word “egotistical” has such a negative connotation that people assume that those with a big ego are out of balance and can’t also care about things other than themself. Yeah, none of the other ones go anywhere near as deep. I think for Hollywood celebrities, they're very careful what they share with the public, trying to maintain privacy, whereas he's an open book. That willingness to be truly vulnerable with the world is very rare. His interview also has an extremely wide variety of topics covered. Maybe because he has a community, not just fans.
