Great insight into the parameters of sight selection. As a new bowhunter the amount of choices and info is overwhelming. This definitely process some focus on what to considers in sight selection

As a 72 year old bow hunter since 1963 I've used about every compound sight design since the wheels were put on bows. For me, with glasses to 20/20 vision I have been using a 3 pin slider. Pins are .019. Top pin is blue,middle is green and bottom is blue. At 285 fps hunting arrow the pins are set at 24-32-40. These gaps allow for arrow drop that I know is within a 6" diameter. This is in case an animal moves a yard or two from its first possible shooting position. Seriously. I have not missed a deer or lost a deer in over 25 years. I am very OCD about shot placement and have not shot at some awesome bucks because the shot wasn't right even though the deer was at " chip shot" distance.

When I switched to a single verticals pin 15 yrs ago I stopped missing deer using the wrong pin

I just gaffer tape a toilet roll to my bow then stick some pins in it. If I’m feeling fancy I use needles. Then I literally shoot through the eye of a needle!

I got a sight like this pins broke very easy found some thing even better it looks like a sight but it's not a sight it's a range finder great for hunting or field or 3d archery. EZvsight American invention.
