Wisconsin Gun Deer Season - How Many DEER Was That?

Aaron heads north to join his family for Wisconsin's 2023 Gun Deer season. Just after the first day they were covered up in deer, pushing farther in to chase those bigger bucks.

Wish I could of recorded all the deer blind stories my grandpa shared with me sitting together he has been gone for 22 years now an I still revisit those stories every year sitting up the hill from his old stand. Please cherish those stories cause there will come a time u wish you could hear them again. Great video

Thanks! And I have hours of footage from his stories and that’s a big reason I put it in the video, that hunt had nothing to do with whitetail and had everything to do with making great memories with my grandpa. One hunt I will never forgot. Best of luck in your future hunts, hope your grandfathers stories will bring you some luck!

Yes sir! It’s crazy to see how many people don’t understand that, this hunt had nothing to do about deer.

Yes sir! Just had to let him tell his stories, there will be one day I’ll be wishing I can sit there and listen to all the stories again. Have to take in the good memories before they are gone

Always seems odd to hear people talk about baiting when i live in a state where its illegal. Im not bashing it... it just sounds odd when a guy is told you can't do that. Lots of different regs out across the nation and the all seem to work

Yes sir, its only allowed in a handful of counties in the state as well. I personally don't bait just how my family has since I was young. Now go to Texas and people won't ever hunt without bait. Definitely crazy how much regs change state to state.

Yep only 3 counties in while state left that baiting is legal yet all those being sold in gas stations and outdoors sports stores is going somewhere the foolish DNR has to realize this and does nothing to stop it ! Baiting I believe helps herd health

Actually there are 13 counties that still allow baiting in Wisconsin but they do change due to the CWD so in the next couple years there is no telling what will happen

@@quacksandquiversyes for sure but it’s possible that the bait used for deer will involve as not to cause any harm to the deer.

@@matthewclark8651 It's also possible baiting does transmit CWD. In which case you baiters are in the process of wiping out Wisconsin's deer herd. All because you don't know how to or are too lazy to really hunt.
