Everyone's human and infallible. That said, my experiences with Sam haven't been nice. I have a token card of him made by SCG... about 6 years ago I saw him at a GP in Sacramento... I waited until he wasn't busy talking to others or doing anything (rounds for the first day were over and we'd both made it thru to the second day) and then approached him and asked if he'd mind signing my card.... suffice to say, his attitude towards me (yes, he did sign the card albeit acting like I was asking for a huge handout) was really surprising... I regret asking. A couple years ago he started doing videos on drafting... I paid into his patreon and at one point asked him for some advice on different aspects of the current limited meta via twitter (I know, he doesn't know if I'm someone giving him money) and never got a reply. Look, the guy is a genius in regards to MTG, but I wouldn't give him the time of day if I ran into him again personally. There are so many cool ppl in the MTG community... on a personal level, Sam isn't one of them by a long shot.
