Honestly, what makes me have so much respect for Dr. Seuss is that he, in the past, made racist anti-Japanese cartoons... but then realized he was wrong, owned up to it, and wrote this book partially as a way to make up for it. So many people refuse to change their ideas or own up to the fact that they were wrong, so the fact that he was a big enough person to do that speaks volumes.

This is my favorite Dr. Seuss book and hearing you recount it is SO FUNNY. Also I’d add it’s really universal because when I was a kid I took it as “support other kids who are being bullied” and as an adult I’ve taken it as “stand up for people who aren’t being listened to.” Man I love this book!!!!

Marauding Umbreon it's not even close and his wife said she doesn't like her husband's work being used for political gain. It's about Japan and if you look up on Dr sues you'll realize why. He was pretty racist and very much a hawk during the war and acted like every Japanese person was evil, but afterwards I think he took a long look at himself and realized everyone matters, no matter their race, and that trend kept going after this. He felt bad about his role in the racism during the war. So yeah
@danieldishon688
@danieldishon688 7 жыл бұрын
LaddRusso91 : you could just as easily say 'other countries personhood isn't ignored due to being small'. It's not a completely direct comparison either way. shouting in unity to be heard obviously symbolize the advocates of the unborn if the book had to do with abortion at all.
