I never told anyone except my best friend. In fact, I gave up in the middle after trying for the plus global audition. Then Idk what was going one around me 😂😂😂😂 I was getting creeped out for the motivational quotes appearing out of blue. Like "don't give up / passion is the key" and bla bla... So I'm starting to online audition now. But I never shot my dance skills cuz I dont have a better place to :/

Now that after watching this video, I already feel nervous about the auditions before even auditioning. I heard that no matter how good you are, people still struggled to become a trainee or even make it into the second phase. I have a year and a half to train for the auditions and I will work my butt of no matter what. I take this dream very passionately so I hope my determination would help me through.

What is trainee life like? How do they know when ur ready to debut? Also, do they have levels? Like I know SM does have levels for each categories like instrumental, singing, dancing, Korean, English, etc, but does YG have those levels? Also, do companies take ur money that you earn so that you can pay back the money they spent on you? Please talk more about YG and JYP.

Guys if you are good looking and your height is at least 1'64 (1'69 for boys) I will recomend to audition for modeling first, then you can go with the singing audition but start with modeling, makeup brands seem to like a lot the European/American faces so yeah.

I feel so glad that my mom is supporting me on this thing. I asked her, and she said she'd let me audition and if I did pass she'd let me become a trainee. Not right now, maybe when I'm sixteen, haha. I wanna take the next two~ three years to train hard to improve my singing, dancing composing and Korean so I'm more ready than ever! ^^ If I do become famous one day, big shout out to my mom for believing in me! ^^

what do you mean by private auditions? is it online auditions? and if you do pass the online auditions, you have to go to seoul for the second audition right, so will they pay for your flight to seoul? please reply my comment

Hi Kasper I'm Vietnamese. Kpop companies had never held auditions in Vietnam until now(Cube is holding an aidition in our country but the audition place is really far from me that I can't go) however Vietnameses like me hardly have chances to audition.I have already thought of studying at Korea to get chances or even getting a travel tour to Korea and audition but they don't sounds realistic and my parents won't allow me.So I want to ask you is there ways for me to audition?thank you very much!

Composing, rapping, singing (preferably w/ unique voice), dancing/moving naturally on stage. Stage presence/charisma is also highly valued by YG. It's important to work on that as well

Lissa Lourel I saw a lot of non Asian on "Kpop Stars" TV show competition. To be honest they weren't good enough, not good in singing, they sung only English songs and they didn't spoke Korean.... :/ Michelle Lee won the competition, she is Blasian (Black-Asian), half African and Korean, she looks more black than Asian. I also think some non Asians are in some companies as a trainee, but in general you can't see all trainees and sometimes the companies don't want that the trainees give interviews or some informations. I know some K-indie groups with non Asians, one of the them are very famous "Busker Busker", they have a American caucasian, his name is Brad Moore.

compagnies are looking for talents , it's true that they like youngs kids because they can train them for more years , but if you are 18 or more you can apply too . (sry for my english i'm french.)

as long as you are talented age doesn't matter. Kahi of after school debuted at age of 29, so i think at some companies age really don't matter.

im seeing a lot of comments like “but im not korean/but im tanned” or “i dont speak korean” but that’s no problem at all. i would suggest auditioning for jyp since they’re known to accept lots of foreigners, while you’re a trainee you’ll get a tutor for learning korean too. you’ll most likely have to work harder than the koreans though, to be completely honest.but if you have the talent, passion, visuals and perseverance it will be okay, keep trying! i also suggest auditioning for small companies, since they most likely would want anyone with talent to join their company. im planning to audition for jyp next month, when i turn 14. i will audition for vocal (singing) through the online audition. if anyone has any more tips please tell me, if anyone has questions you can ask them too, i did a ton of research. i most likely will also update if i pass the online and hopefully face to face audition. wish me luck!!

I just wanna share this😄 My mom and I were eating and I never asked her about trying to audition for being a kpop idol.So while were talking about random topics,I let in and randomly asked her "Mom,what if I try to audition for being a kpop idol?" and she said"then audition" I was kind of shock because she's not the kind of mom that will approve at 'everything' and I'm literally shouting at the top of my lungs and said "Really?Really?!" And I hugged her but I promise I will audition!Aja!Hwaiting! And for all those who lost self-esteem and confidence,don't knock yourself down if you really wanted to be one then be it Xoxo! +BTS Forever I see probably course of bts right? hahah but I think jyp ent might be ok too cause I haven't heard any bad rumours about them mistreating their idols or anything but I'm not that sure about how they do things in their company so yeap! n when u do get news about being an idol/trainee(like when u r going to an audition or when u get in) tell me cause I wanna know :)))

Jumin Han is Gay they arent debuting girl groups. If a girl is a trainee at bighit and is ready to debut they will just transfer her to another company

yeahh its true i auditioned for SM global and it was so scary but in the end I didn't make it in. It was so scary though there was at least 10 of us in one room and it was one by one we would all sing a song that we prepared before they cut us off and the enitre room atmosphere is so tense >

I've heard that some kpop idols didn't know Korean before auditioning and the company actually taught them later on in their early trainee stages. But I think this would work only to the VERY talented applicants because big companies won't waste their time teaching an entire language to an "average" singer. So keep that in mind too~

I can sing & dance well. But I have some issues. First, I'm an Indian. Second, I can understand english but I can't speak english fluently. Third, I'm short. & Fourth my parents will never allow me to go overseas alone & I also can't go overseas with my parents cuz you know due to some issues.😭 I started loosing hope. It's my dream.
