​@@misterpineapple To elaborate a bit more, Ram was generally better than Rem at everything when they were really young, so Rem dedicated herself to housework to be useful, but after Ram's horn got severed she lost most her powers and became very dependent on Rem, who is much better at being a maid. Rem still felt inferior because of their past and suffered from survivor's guilt from Ram losing her horn. Because of Subaru she was able to overcome her trauma and move on, which is why she fell in love with him, and also why when he needed her she wanted to pay him back, even if it meant stepping aside for Emilia. However, since everyone's memories of Rem have been erased (with Subaru being the main exception) in their new memories without Rem they think Ram was the only maid and was doing all the work herself, so when Rem died in their minds it was just Ram suddenly getting much worse at her job.
