Although they need to fall for Shido to be sealed, doesn't mean they need to actively be in a relationship with Shido to stay around. In fact only Tohka has this need, Kotori is very aware she's just Shido's step sister, and Yoshino is chill as long as she's with her puppet. The twins are also very chill when they are with each other, and most other spirits down the line are already aware Shido has a harem when they join, so they don't really ask a one to one relationship at that point.

The fight between Tohka and Origami will be a main theme until Origami's grudge on spirits are resolved (Basically when we find the spirit who kills her parents) After that you kinda miss their stupid small fights, but yeah can't wait until you make there.

Episode 1 of S2 isn't fully filler, it's a montage of some content that links between the two seasons with some original filler content. Mainly the Kurumi dialogue in the end was actually supposed to be in the Kurumi arc last season to tell the audience what she is really up to. Introducing the main villains there also makes sense in an anime adaptation

First we got introduced to Westcott and Ellen and now we got the most Unique Spirit in my opinion. Kaguya and Yuzuru, a pretty cool duo and among my personal favorite Spirits on the show alongside Kurumi and Tohka and another 2 spirits from future seasons. Their code name is "Berserk".

This episode was animated perfectly and was cannon , only some scenes and dialogues were missing from light novel (ep would be 40 min long if they adapted fully) , also i forgot to say they havent animated full kotori backstory in previous season from light novel😅.it was wholesome moment btw kotori and shido

Number 11 is the best by far. Not only because Eve is one of my favorite Japanese singers, but most of the animation (all the crazy looking parts) were animated by yutaka nakamura the greatest animator of all time. So yeah, nothing comes close to that OP

Season 3 starts around October actually. There was a recent screening of Ep1 at the Anime Expo. So far, I've been hearing positives about it.

Cool little snitbit: During the part where Gluttony was just about to devour Rem's name and memories. A few seconds of images flashed just seconds before the devour. One: Shows a couple together with a baby and a boy standing next to them. Two: Shows the man (an older looking Subaru) and the boy together and three: Shows a close up with a woman who looks a lot like an older Rem with long hair and a baby in her arms. Those images are actually from what was first called the What IF Sloth Story. The What IF's are an none-canonical alternative route that takes place in very major specific moments in the main storyline if Subaru where to make the wrong choices leading him onto a different path entirely different from the main plot. The Sloth What IF route is the moment during episode 18 where Subaru asks Rem to run away with him. But with Rem actually agreeing with him and running away to live in the country of Kararagi and living happily together and managing to have two kids as well. A boy named Rigel Natsuki and a baby girl called Spica Natsuki. This What IF was also turned into a novel and has its own chapter in Vol 9 of the Light Novels with the title called Fragments: Rem Natsuki. Which the story was no more then just Rem's ideal fantasy of her and Subaru together.

I know some people drop Date a Live on season 1 or 2 but if you continue to watch it all the way to season 5 it gets better as the season goes. If you pay attention, you notice there some hints show but it don't tell. It helps viewer to think and trying figure what is the story about. Is Shido a human and why only he can seal spirit out of many guys. Origami parent killer if it not Kotori then who? Why only the girls are spirit and what made them since in the beginning we thought only spirit come from another world just like alien then why Kotori is a spirit if she live here that long. Why Kotori the captain in the airship and where she gets all these resource. Westcott and Ellen bad vibe yes and you can tell they had bad intention on Spirit. Why mana his suppose biological sister become Wizard? Why many characters like Shido, Kotori, Origami, and Mana have memory loss and is there a reason?

This episode is filler , i think😅, only last part of kurumi and first part of origami punishment ,along with westcoatt and ellen scene were cannon

The plot is going to get more and more dark and heavy in this season. Westcott and Ellen is basically the main villain in this series, their goal is quite different than AST... you will find out what they are up to in the future. Kurumi basically revealed her main goal is to kill the first spirit, who was born 30 years ago. Yod Beth is the 12th bullet on her clock, grants the person who gets shot the ability to physically go back in time. Kurumi basically suggested once she gets enough time, she will use this bullet to go back to 30 years ago and kill the first spirit, therefore eliminating the existence of all spirits in the history at the same time.
