My dad is in Hospital dying of pancreatic cancer. We cant see him, or be near him (Covid 19 rules). He will die alone and afraid, because he already suffers with an anxiety disorder. THAT makes this slow motion Torture ! To think, that there are some who think "this virus is no big deal"

I am so sorry for your impending loss. It is impending, but really your loss is already here. It is awful for you and your father. I hope that you can find some peace and some strength during this difficult time. It is never easy to lose a parent. I lost both of mine at a relatively young age. I wish i could take just a smidgen of your pain away. I know that pain and it is awful BUT you WILL get through this.

I am so sorry for this family’s heartbreak, I simply can’t imagine this pain. After a two year battle with cancer my late husband and my children had the opposite experience. With the help of of hospice my husband died in my arms and surrounded by our children. Despite him being unconscious it was an intimate and loving moment. As we struggled with our grief thinking about those last hours with him gave us such comfort. The ability to say goodbye is important not only to the dying but their loved ones.

Yousef, I am a Jewess. You did exactly right for your Uncle Steve. Having the Shema broadcast for him was exactly what he needed to hear. Do not forget that we recite Shema 3 times a day, when in perfect health, with sun in the sky, joy in our hearts. Although traditionally we try to die with those words on our lips, those words do not represent the END. You do not know, but perhaps when Steve heard and said those beautiful words, he was thinking of all of the joy-filled days when he Praised HaShem, then went about his day at the store or with family and friends. No doubt that when Steve was sedated or delirious, the hospital staff in extra gowns & PPE were not even seen by him. You do not know, perhaps in his delerium Steve was dancing with angels, ready to release his earthly body and be free. Do not torture yourself by creating a horrible scenario of Steve's last hours and minutes. Reality is, each human dies alone, no matter who or how many are standing nearby. Death is a solitary experience. You will always remember the happy times, holidays, the store, the customers, the stories you two shared. You will grieve. You will let go. You will recall that life is for the living. Steve had a good life and, Steve had a wonderful nephew-son.

Shalom. I hope that one day you will be able to cherish the memories you had with your dear uncle. I am sure that right now the pain is too deep. Grief is unbearable at times. Please allow the strength and love of others to carry you through this difficult. time. Take in the love of your customers and believe in the good of people. May your grief lessen each day. God Bless.

As one nurse said dealing with flooding patients of Covid.. "We dont have time to process how we feel, we can only feel when we're at home" Yes, that's just heavy..heavy feeling when you have rush of emotion but dont have time to process it, to feel the grief and let them go.. Hats off to the paramedics of the mental and physical burden they might carry during this pandemic.. I have even paused watching the news for couple of days just to clear my mind, i cant imagine how they must have been feeling😥😥😥 And my deep condolences for this family for the loss, loosing someone close to you could never been easy..

I'm so sorry for your loss!😢😥. I've been keeping asking God lately why our loved ones, so innocent kind people had to die for this disease? I wish God can give us an answer to eases our pain, to give us hope. I've never met your uncle but I can tell from his photo that he was a kind hearted hard working man, gone too soon and too sudden. So sorry that you didn't get a chance to say Goodbye to your uncle. This is extremely difficult time. I wish I had better words to comfort you. my heart goes out to you.

@@lindaleelaw5277 poverty is a trap I agree . I'm poor too . But I got to thinking one day . God made this earth and made us to live on it . There's got to be more to life than the almighty dollar and what it can give me . It opened my eyes to so much . A baby's laughter makes my heart sing . A good old crying jag ends in smiles and laughter after the stress is gone. I've been hungry a few times but so what look at the poor homeless kids out in the world today . Im far better off than them . Try to see what God sees in you . Bring a smile to someone's face . A kind word to sooth their soul . It all comes back to you ten fold . The doctors don't share a common grief HOW DARE you. you leave vulnerable patients seeking help and they just ignore them. They have blood on their hands someday they will have to answer to their atrocities, you cannot handle it don't be there your afraid don't be there so give a family member the right to stand by give them the help they need. Most patients didn't have to die from dehydration, NO applauding for negligence . I am sick of seeing the culprit seeking credit they don't deserve
