But why did you believe the rumour? 9ice never confirmed anything, the conversation Ruggedman recorded went viral and ID Cabasa granted an interview back then saying such never happened between Rugged and Tony Payne that She(Tony Payne) Infact prepared the food they all ate at the studio the day the song was being recorded.

Some people are so desperate!! Nice ruined his wife's reputation till tomorrow. He is very ungrateful to the two people that helped him reach limelight. That episode seriously dented Rughedman's image back then. The same nice is now forgotten. Women be discerning - that a person is skilled in an art or sport or any endeavor does not make them people of good character.

I listened to the recorded call and I can tell that 9ice knew what he did and had this internal justification as to why he did that. That justification is what ruggedman hid from us in this clip. If this was an old recorded video, I would say maybe A.I. brought this interview as a recommendation regarding the respective artistes songs I was playing on Saturday. I was wowed when I saw this video is just a day-old video. Maybe I will call this telepathy at work, cos I was playing both 9ices' Talk I Am Listening and Ruggedman's reply to it, which is A Word Is Enough For The 9ice back to back on Saturday riding through memory lane. Truth is, the whole marital drama was what affected 9ices' career, I think there was a mystery to his dwindled career cause man was moving at a trajectory that could have truly won him a grammy like he often promised us.

I was shocked too when he said TRADITIONAL ALBUM was not really selling. "Once bitten, twice shy" is one of the lowest ranked songs in that album. That album was a Banger and started going viral and selling fast from it's first day of release. I understand what 9ice did was terrible, but it was never for album sales. It's just like expecting Asake to do such now just to sell an album, when he's currently the rave of the moment. 9ice was the rave of the moment at that time.

What an interesting insight. Well, from this explanation here, it's clear that your fight wasn't even suppose to be against 9ice. Speculations were going on that technically, he didn't directly or intentionally caused. He wasn't obligated to come out to the press even though he should have for the sake of friendship. Your actual fight was meant to be against the press and not 9ice. Then about leaking conversations between you both unprovoked was inappropriate and from what we know today is a crime. I love you Mr Rugged, you do great work and you're a good man too and also truth is I've never been a fan of 9ice music but to be fair on this matter given this premise, getting angry at him was valid but the move you made against him was wrong and unnecessary. You mustn't have been in Nigeria when the rumour was spreading or you were not friends with Nigeria which ever country you were. I was not in Nigeria but believe me, the press didn't do any damage, they were actually airing both views but you see the people on the streets were all accusing Rugged, Rugged was dragged all over Nigeria without social media. 9ice was feeling himself, his album was moving due to the allegations against Rugged, when Rugged released the call he recorded with 9ice, some even blamed Rugged because they had made up their mind about Rugged. All 9ice had to do was to come out and clear the rumours against his FRIEND, someone who showed him the way to stardom but he dropped the ball...where is 9ice today???.. If you have never been betrayed by someone who you helped climb and they're pushing you down, I pray you don't. You think you're all wise, all logical and all knowing TILL IT HAPPENS TO YOU.

Look at the series of events. 9ice and Tony Payne broke up, with the public not knowing the reasons Months later 9ice released a song about break up which was caused by him walking in on his girl blowing his friend. Are you telling me the public waited for the press to interpret the song? Mind you, social media wasn't as polarized as now, just blogs. If 9ice was truly a nice person, he would've come out to say he wasn't referring to his current breakup and Rugged. The blogs would've picked it up because then, everyone was waiting for 9ice to clear Rugged's name, but 9ice loved the attention.

I disagree with your submission, a little bit. 9ice did a whole track with video featuring Seriki, it's called "talk, I am listening" or something and called out Rugged's legal names Michael Ogochukwu Stephen, in accusation. 9ice took it too far, he made threats in that video too, if my memory serves me well.Rugged did what needed to be done I think, I'll just blame it on 9ice's age at the time and the sudden fame. I hope they are able to smoothen the relationship some day.
