Anya Taylor-Joy and Nicholas Hoult sat down to catch up with BBC Radio 1’s film critic Ali Plumb to talk all things The Menu.
The cast talk to Ali about trying to become Ralph Fiennes’ best friend, Nicholas tells us how he really landed the role in The Menu (it involves Ali G) and Anya shares her new obsession for teeny tiny cookery videos.
Plus, everyone has a little geek out about Mad Max.
The Menu is available in cinemas on the 18th of November.

I think part of it, is that Ali can connect with people at a human level and have a normal, casual conversation, but still be well informed. That’s why I like this as well as Hot Ones with Sean Evans; great hosts/interviewers.

Not only that, you can see there all sort of artists telling their own stories and interacting with each other in casual conversation, sharing anegdotes, talking about their work in informative but also funny way. It probably was offered to her tbh and she likely turned it down because leading that would keep her busy for 6 months out of the year for several years and thus prevent her from taking on the range of roles that she currently is. Being on a hit TV show is often quite bad for an actors film career, even if they;'re super popular, because there's way less flexibility to your schedule.
