WIZARD Of Oz obsessed Walter Krueger is so enchanted with the Wizard of Oz that he's spent more than £120,000 on memorabilia. Now the 28-year-old is planning to open a museum to show off his collection of around 10,000 pieces -- which he believes could be one of the world's biggest. Walter became fascinated by the classic tale at just five-years-old after being given an Oz coloring book by his grandmother. He says its morals helped him through difficult times in life including the death of his mother when he was 16. His most treasured possession is a pair of replica ruby slippers which were given to him by his mother and are now worth around £20,000.

These people are the reasons museums exist. They serve very important roles in our society at personal sacrifice. I bet this guy doesn´t have a booze or smoking habit and all his money goes into these objects.

I think there are many people who collect and you have a right to collect what you love. I have every Hallmark wizard of oz ornaments Hallmark has ever made and then some. My father worked on the move and all his great stories has made me have happy memories of those stories. So remember we all have the things we love to collect and be proud you have a hobby that is so much fun to have.

One of the original pairs of red slippers had been stolen from the Judy Garland museum at the birthplace of Judy Garland in my home state of Minnesota. They still have not recovered them and they have been missing for along time now.
