I like the simple strategy vs raw power. She constantly tries to be a bigger stronger predator while Merlin becomes only what he needs to get the better of her

In "The Once and Future King", which this film us based on, Merlin is actually living his life backward. He is very long lived due to being a wizard, but at one point talks about being young during World War II. So he actually knows quite a bit about science, especially for someone in the Arthurian era.

Just what I thought that one of my favorite scenes from my childhood couldn't get any more epic, you had to go and add John Williams. Extremely well done. My only issue is that I can't like it more than once.

She technically said no make believe like Pink Dragons and stuff. The loophole was that it couldn't be a pink dragon and stuff, which is very vague. Maybe a pink dragon doesn't breathe fire or has horns, which the purple dragon didn't have a horn. I'm just guessing her madness.

This reminds me of a scene on Sandman when Morpheus was battling Lucifer in hell for his helmet except they didn't physically transform it was more of a battle of their imagination and will power!! Both scenes are absolutely wonderful!!

I still don’t understand why Gandalf chose Bilbo’s house without talking to Bilbo first, the former may have been afraid of Hobbiton being sitting ducks when the war came to them but it never did so ultimately he had nothing to worry about and the dwarfs who he brought as his many plus ones have the most atrocious of table manners (not to mention manners and behavior in general)

Mim broke her own rules, so Merlin had every right to break them as well when he turned into a germ. That's how he won, because he was wise all along. This was literally a case where Mim got a taste of her own medicine.

Did he cheat? he turned into an animal technically. More of an animal than a dragon. Even in they do exist, from what I know I doubt they'd be happy being considered an animal.

@@AlexBadger Mim said no mineral or vegetable, only animal. Merlin turned into a germ, that's not an animal. However, Mim did cheat by breaking her own rules first, so Merlin had every right to cheat as well. What goes around always comes around!

@@waynemacfarland1546 You are correct that merlin was well within his rights to start cheating, and it's frankly impressive he held out for so long. I am a little unsure about germs not being, if you stretch logic enough, animals. They're not sentient as we understand it, but they are living organisms. Then again so are plants. I'll need to think on this.

Yep you're exactly right! I had to edit it down in order to fit the score. A couple of moments are also dragged for better timing. You might find that some missing sounds also give that odd feeling if you're used to the original 😁
