I have been looking everywhere for an explanation of how to install and power a vtx on this car. I need more help than “connect it”. How did you get power from the cars battery to the vtx and camera!!! This it not obvious to beginners.

I noticed you’re using a bigger battery. What battery is that? And what are the specs?

@Tep FPV I really want to modify your mount to be a bit lower and flatter camera angle, and suitable for micro size camera's (Like the Predator V4 and Foxeer Razer, or Falkor 2), as I'll use a TBS Unify Nano32 inside. Any chance I could have the file? OR, if you post a modified version matching those specs, I will happy give you a generous tip on Thingiverse (If you setup tipping)

Where are you pulling power from for the cam and vtx? the receiver?

Actually after popping the cover off the rx I think I see what to do. there are gnd and vdd pads that I can get 5v from and hopefully they have enough current for the cam/vtx

@@BrandonHall1 sorry i was offline for a bit, i solder it directly to a switch so when i turn on the car i turn on everything, made it easier for me. and used micro 5v bec, because on full throttle you get a lot of current drop from battery. that is why i suggest to use bec :)

@@dejvor the pads I found seem to offer a steady 5v. Not voltage drops as of yet. Everything turns off by the switch too. Your car seems a little different from mine though. Two of the mounting points for the camera holder are blocked on my frame by locator tabs on the rear differential.

@@BrandonHall1 ou i forgot to mention, i moved complete rear end for one hole more back, with the car you get the longer pinion to replace on rear differential, also move whole box with receiver electronics in front so you get more space in the back for gyro in the future or anything else you want to mod. Thank you for info about 5v pins. Didnt know about it

@@dejvor found it out of necessity and impatience. Not very friendly solder pads though.
